It's not either of those things. It's a normal part of everyone's everyday life and the human experience. It's all the murder and death that's gratuitous and makes you come off as a psycho
But murder being shown even in its brutality makes sense to show since that’s one of the driving points of so many plots. Character A kills character B.
And showing the death can make sense since death can happen in so many different ways, and can show if it’s accidentally, purposeful, etc.
But sex? Not so much. Sex is just sex and you can show viewers that sex is about to happen/happened between characters without showing nudity.

Only logical thing is legitimacy. Bobby broke the mold by not being a Targ. Half of the nobility from medium lords to the lord paramounts have some targ blood. Basically anyone could make a claim really.
Returning to Targ only rule and demonizing bobby after the fact would be the only way to lead to more direct dynastic disputes than every lord plotting to take over themselves.
