Ryan was helping Cyril by making him seem like a guy not to be fricked with. After that they became a dynamic duo where Cyril was a sort of enforcer and Ryan always managed to leverage people against his threats making them the best survivors in the prison besides Sayeed who had it on easy mode with the muslims. Cyril only came down because he kicked too much ass and they had to electric chair him. Total injustice too cause hes moronic and it was almost always a self defense scenario
i absolutely love the mid riot characterizations of Miguel, Tobi, and Ryan the way they just navigate the situation like different RPG characters trying to carve their own piece out of the situation
okay wtf was with using this guy to kill 2 important characters when he was basically a rando nutjob himself, you have huge long running characters and you give them no cathartic ending with no theme or anything just a chaotic nonsense death, the age pill shit was nothing compared to this writing flub
alvarez's first arc being about his dying preborn drug baby was fricking brutal, almost mogged Tobi's initial story, later on though Toby's kid death story is the ultimate tragedy
i just read that Beecher's wife was actually murdered and that it was just made to look like a suicide, missed that I guess, thats really fricked up. wtf was up with ordering Hank kill Beecher's son? that shit was just ludicrously excessive torture porn, I couldn't believe Hank went through with it either, made the italians into heroes when they finally delivered justice
this show is full of nasty shit like that, especially in the beecher vs schillinger storyline, it's like written by an angry 14 year old full of hate, wishing the worst on people. it's kind of sad watching it but also entertaining.
