this version has the 1992 english dub and 2000 english dub. Dont know if thats what you're looking for. Nyaa is always the best place to go for weeb shit.
It's from the same guy. What you're describing is his first feature I think. 5cm per second is similiar in theme, it's a story told in 3 episodes about people drifting apart and the guy never getting over the unfulfilled potential of their relationship
For me, it’s Castle in the Sky, only because I remember watching it when I was a kid because my dad loved ghibli movies and I wanted to bring it to my first grade class so we could all watch it. My dad said no when he watched it again and realized how violent it was lol
Every day the same shitty cartoon threads. You have both Cinemaphile and Cinemaphile to talk about your cartoons with people with similar intelligence.
Why yes, critically acclaimed animated movies are surely far less relevant to film discussion than the 9001th capeshit thread or The Barbie Movie currently in production.
if I wanted to post on Cinemaphile I'd just cut straight to the chase and dangle by wiener and balls in a blender, all the sensation of posting on Cinemaphile with only half the hassle
Not him but it's exactly the same, but instead of sticking your wiener and balls in a blender, it's more smashing yourself in the in the wiener and balls with the sharp and of a hammer. The question is always, why post there, where it's full of bait and trannies, when you can post somewhere else?
I went on a Ghibli binge recently. Was told for years that their films were better than Pixar and America’s other animated films. Most of them sucked. Repetitive themes, meandering plots, lifeless characters. Spirited Away towers above the rest of the studio’s work.
nips cannot into compelling themes, dialogue and characters to save their lives. the guys working in anime are even less equipped. they'll give you pretty pictures and an interesting world with nothing interesting to say.
It's nice to see autistic people get some representation in Japanese media, especially an autistic girl. You hardly even see them in the west! That's the sort of progress I like to see.
Unfortunately this. The Japanese are hopelessly socially moronic, have no idea how human relationships work, talk in a way that's impossible to take seriously, and are all around just bad at writing most things. Their art direction and music are great, but actually asking one to write a human character is a waste of time. All the Japs know is shonen fight scenes with massive explosions and moeblob girls.
That's a funny meme but Kurosawa is dead and everyone in Japan is either a femcel or an incel with no exceptions so now youll only ever get >Zickard Blade Adventure X: No tears, No Die The Movie 828
Or you can watch Studio Ghibli movies. Those are your two options.
Or you can watch Koreeda. Face it, you're a casual.

>You can watch this single guy
Exception proves the rule
I thought you were serious but you are just a shitty troll.
I'm not kidding lol nips can't write at all. I get secondhand embarrassment listening to the dialogue of 90% of modern Japanese media. It's awful.

>I'm not kidding
Ok then I will talk in absolutes as well. Other than jap media what other media is there? American media? 90% politics and every movie is either a brainless capeshit or boring sitcoms with trash dialogues. European media? pretentious arthouse with dialogues that would make nips embarrassed ? What else is there?

You're right it's all terrible in it's own way. But I put up with it, just like you. What other choice do I have?
That golden age was the only time that island peaked artistically. Exceptions to the general rule. Even their literary tradition is mediocre and mostly western influenced, their "great" novels and stories fricking sucks ass compared to other developed countries. That weakness generally bleeds into the rest of everything they do.
For me, it’s Castle in the Sky, only because I remember watching it when I was a kid because my dad loved ghibli movies and I wanted to bring it to my first grade class so we could all watch it. My dad said no when he watched it again and realized how violent it was lol
these dudes get it.
Kiki's delivery service is also quite cozy.
For me it's Pokémon the Movie 2000: The Power of One.
The entei/unknown movie is less known but better, pokemon 2000 survives almost entirely on nostalgia. The lucario movies is pretty good too, though I may be biased because I did go to a friends birthday party where he rented a theatre out to watch it. The place smelled like shit though
I love Spirited Away, but that's also the only studio Ghimli movie I like. My sister loves Howl's Moving Castle and Kiki's delivery service, and I've also watched that one about the cats. However I just feel that they're all way too damn similar, it feels like when you've watched one of these movies you've watched all of them. Totoro in particular I haven't watched because obnoxious girls shilled the shit out of this movie in high school so now when I think about it I just think "man this movie gotta be real fricking shit if all these shallow soulless bland as frick no taste teenage girls are gushing about it".
But Spirited Away was different to me. I like that little darkness it had to it, how it played with the concept of the rural eerie tunnels, and the old folklore of being spirited away. It's as much as I can really tolerate of this style of movie really. I mean it doesn't help that its creator is a self-important entitled prick with no respect for the people who consume his products as well, he really is the embodiment of "separate the artist from the work".
Don't let those b***hes ruin Totoro for you, they probably went with it for the cute character but don't give a frick about the movie itself. Most of them will have forgotten about it anyway.
I can't remember the title but there was this one movie where a girl and a boy find out they keep renting the same books from the library and subsequently get to know each other. It's a pretty sweet and down to earth coming of age story.
For you anons that don't know, they've been playing Ghibli movies in theaters for the last couple of years https://www.fathomevents.com/series/studio-ghibli-fest
for me it's The Castle of Cagliostro, but for the life of me I can't fricking find the original english dub anywhere
>dub
kys
like clockwork
https://nyaa.si/?f=0&c=0_0&q=The+Castle+of+Cagliostro
have you tried nyaa?
holy shit thank you it will be somewhere in here

Based, was going to post this. And the dub is great too, unlike most. A shame it's the only one with that cast.
You disgusting zoomers and your dubs...
Wrong board
>Totoro
Litttle known fact, totoro means 'rapist' in japanese
No it doesn't
That's a poor translation, the entire title translates to "My sex offender neighbour"
it means sex offender, ignorant swine
the mother didn't just have a cold
What was wrong with her?
its a movie about puff the magic dragon aka heroin.
it even has the theme
For me it's 5cm per second ;_;
Garden of words is better. Both are mediocre though other than the animation/detailed art style.
I think both are very good.
That the anime where the guys gf flys further and further out into the solar system? Didn’t the director also work on Your Name too?
It's from the same guy. What you're describing is his first feature I think. 5cm per second is similiar in theme, it's a story told in 3 episodes about people drifting apart and the guy never getting over the unfulfilled potential of their relationship
Sounds like my love life
For me, it’s Castle in the Sky, only because I remember watching it when I was a kid because my dad loved ghibli movies and I wanted to bring it to my first grade class so we could all watch it. My dad said no when he watched it again and realized how violent it was lol

But the Barbie movie is important
Why
Meme actor is in it
I hate this board
Me too
Go watch more star wars old man
Frick you, I'm going to talk about movies and not memes.
if I wanted to post on Cinemaphile I'd just cut straight to the chase and dangle by wiener and balls in a blender, all the sensation of posting on Cinemaphile with only half the hassle
Then use Cinemaphile you moronic Black person.
Not him but it's exactly the same, but instead of sticking your wiener and balls in a blender, it's more smashing yourself in the in the wiener and balls with the sharp and of a hammer. The question is always, why post there, where it's full of bait and trannies, when you can post somewhere else?
This. Seriously, its even the same 3 cartoons. How unoriginal can you be? And yes i've watched them, yes they were ok but holy frick SHUT THE FRICK UP
I went on a Ghibli binge recently. Was told for years that their films were better than Pixar and America’s other animated films. Most of them sucked. Repetitive themes, meandering plots, lifeless characters. Spirited Away towers above the rest of the studio’s work.

Princess Mononoke.
>B-BUT I’M A WOLF

Watch Oshii.

This pasta is so unfunny. Harakiri and Seven Samurai always make in to top 10 movies of all time lists.
That's a funny meme but Kurosawa is dead and everyone in Japan is either a femcel or an incel with no exceptions so now youll only ever get

I've watched Gun x sword back when it was airing and it had some pretty good dialogues here and there from what I remembered
Spirited away was one of their weakest movies. Also their anime especially those made before 2000 are indeed way better than Pixar
They are far better than Pixar.
My neighbour is a israelite. So I regularly sexualising harass his kids.
Based, huh?
>nothing happens: the movie
Nausicaa is the correct choice
That movie was so bad it almost stopped me from watching the other Ghibli movies. DO NOT START WITH THIS MOVIE. You have been warned.
It's like a 6 or 7/10 for me... Mostly because the music is god tier
You talk like a ledditor and I hope you die, Black person. Don’t respond again
Fair enough
>Don’t respond again
Ok
You don't get it, it's stylistically designed to be that way.
For me, it's Castle in the Sky
I rlly like the dicky in it and wish I was the boy protagonist to protect her from the baddies
these dudes get it.
Kiki's delivery service is also quite cozy.
this as well.
For me it's Pokémon the Movie 2000: The Power of One.

The only scene I remember from the Lucario movie is Mew going into a tree? Or something? And there's spirits in there? Also
>"REGICE REGICE R̵̡̧̛̖̥͉̱̠̟̻̆͆͌͆͗͐͗̈́ ̴̫̗̱̯̼̩̀͂̄̆̇̍̕Ė̶̢̦̥̠͖̝͍̭̙̫̔̎̑̃͑́̒͋̄̓̂͐̇̎̋̉͜ ̶̡̢̟̳͎̼̤̤͕̎̋͒̊̋̀͜G̵͉͊̽̆͘ ̶͚̞̼̙͈̟̹̰̻͚̫̞̤͈͊̒̒̔͌̃̄̇͜͜I̵̢͍̣̹̖͓̪̟̳̞͕̗̬̱͖̼̽͒̏̽́̕ ̴̗̽̔̈́͐̓̌͐̏̆̆̽̿̇̄͊̚Ć̶͕͍̤̯̠̮̼͓͈̾̋̈́́̇͑̾̚ ̴̴͓̟͓̟͐̑͐̏̽̽͐̐͊̇͊̒͒̂̄͐̑͐̏̽̽͐̐͊̇͊̒͒̂̄̚̚É̷͇̠̘̮̻̽̀̕"
I like Princess Mononoke. I want to frick the wolf girl.
The wolves will kill you if you dare touch their human frick toy
>He thinks I was referring to the human
I'd do her too though
for me it's this homie right here
He's a bro
Is this pedo to like her?
>her
>moving castle
>not flying castle in the sky
>castle in the sky also moves
Shut up
For me it's Path of the Wind
For me it's Kiki's
I've never watched Totoro.
I love Spirited Away, but that's also the only studio Ghimli movie I like. My sister loves Howl's Moving Castle and Kiki's delivery service, and I've also watched that one about the cats. Eh aside from kiki sounds like you grew up on nuGhibli.
Everyone should watch Laputa or Totoro at least once, but they're also the ones made for kids.
Totorp is to remind adults what it's like to be kids.
And frick all those people with the dark theories about the movie.
I can't remember the title but there was this one movie where a girl and a boy find out they keep renting the same books from the library and subsequently get to know each other. It's a pretty sweet and down to earth coming of age story.
Whisper of The Heart. The best Gibli movie, very strong characters.
For you anons that don't know, they've been playing Ghibli movies in theaters for the last couple of years https://www.fathomevents.com/series/studio-ghibli-fest
