It's interesting how Japan constantly mythologizes their historical figures in their media compared to the US. You have stuff like Abraham Lincoln: vampire Hunter but it's a drop in the budget compared to the sheer amount of Japanese pseudo-historical fiction. Or Chinese even. I guess not enough time has passed? Or they would consider the type of shit Japan does with its historical figures to be disrespectful.
And no you can't blame wokeness, from what I've seen it's always been like this.

America has deified its founding fathers to the point where making fiction about them is akin to making it about Jesus.

I literally just saw a post on Facebook saying Mount Rushmore is a blight on that area’s natural beauty

Yeah it’s less about respect and more so about media these days pushing the narrative that the United States and its history are evil colonizers and we deserve to feel the weight of the sins of the dead no matter how much time has passed, how disconnected we all are from the deeds, the atonement already done for said deeds and the progress we’ve all made as a people and society in the interim

All of this is because America bills itself as the world police and condemns other for far less. If the USA was so keen as presenting itself as the supreme moral authority on earth than no one would give a frick about genocide and slavery but since America topples governments for less of course people are going to be critical

I mean, it kind of is. A bunch of tiny heads carvedinto a mountain and they just left all the leftover rock lying at the bottom.

It's because Asians don't feel ashamed of their past.

You can't mythologize historical figures if you have to constantly ashamed them to please liberals.

Frankly, Fabok and Hitch should really be drawing each other's books. Rook: Exodus does not utilise Fabok to his strengths where Hitch could harder on his "wide-screen action" sensibilities there.

This character, their pose and their expression tells me all I need to know about this title.

It was probably my least favorite of the 3 titles. But it was still good. I enjoyed rook and geiger more though. Not that this was bad by any means. I just felt it was #3 in the 3 books they debuted.
