For the first time, Netflix has released viewer data (from January 2023-June 2023) for every show on its' service.
Available to download here.

I thought this was pretty interesting, as will anyone who has had a favorite show cancelled by the big red streaming giant. Netflix has traditionally been very protective of this sort of viewership data, often even withholding it from the creators of these same shows. But with the strikes in the rearview and new protections in place, it seems they're finally lowering the curtain on exactly how many people are watching their shit. This data only covers the first six months of 2023, but being able to see definitive data for EVERYTHING on the service is a huge change.
When reading the report it's important to remember:
Success on Netflix comes in all shapes and sizes, and is not determined by hours viewed alone. We have enormously successful movies and TV shows with both lower and higher hours viewed. It's all about whether a movie or TV show thrilled its audience — and the size of that audience relative to the economics of the title; and
To compare between titles it's best to use our weekly Top 10 and Most Popular lists, which take into account run times and premiere dates.
The only thing I've heard of on that list is Wednesday.
The top 6 are all pretty famous. This board has threads for You (actually decent show in the first season) and The Glory (decent but a kdrama). The number one show is popular with the boomer Tom Clancy crowd and the other three are all hits with women.
this isnt true at all i live on this board and ive never heard of any of them
you think you can just tell lies on the internet?
Lol pay more attention homosexual. You maybe doesn't get as many but The Glory for sure got a ton of threads; most anons wouldn't notice unless they could recognize kdramas from a thumbnail on the catalog.
>threads for You
Obvious shill threads full of play acting homosexuals and women, trying to create interest through relationship discussions and "X is the hottest girl". Laughable shite. The main incel psycho guy is an unrealistic mincing homosexual who fails to rape a single victim in the whole show.
The 1st thing I've actually watched is Glass Onion . I don't even really know what most of those shows/movies before it are.
lmao
women are the only demographic that watches slop confirmed
menbros too busy shitposting
"watch"
They put it on for background noise while looking at TikTok.
>Netflix has traditionally been very protective of this sort of viewership data
weren't they forced by law to reveal this data?
What are the chances this data hasn't been altered with some sort of agenda
once you get to a certain point down in the spreadsheet, everything just says 100,000 hours viewed. so it looks like they are rounding to the nearest 100,000
>Netflix has traditionally been very protective of this sort of viewership data
Netflix was previously an ad-free service, so public viewership data didn't benefit them much. Now that they're selling commercials, being able to publicly flex how popular their shows are helps.
wow youtube aint shit I guess
What's the ten least watched?
Ginny & Georgia's that single mother coalburner show, isn't it?
I've never heard of any of these. who watches this slop?
interesting, most of this was barely a blip on my consciousness in passing through to things I really wanted to see
I'm not interested in going through this shit but is all the woke pandering working out for them
what are the wokest Netflix movies/shows you can think of? I'll let you know where they fall
There's a show called Queersquad or something about gay superheroes
I don't seen anything called Queersquad. is it this Q-Force show? this is sitting at 6425 with supposedly 1,700,000 hours watched
>Q-Force
>A handsome secret agent and his team of LGBTQ superspies embark on extraordinary adventures.
Creator
Gabe Liedman
He’s smart becuase there is no way the Netflix execs would pass on that
Oh, now you have me feeling creative. If the goal is simply to get a green light and a large budget, how about something like this...
> opening scene is traditional looking suburb street
> women looking like Stepford wives wave to their husbands from the porch as they leave for work
> the wives go inside
> but it's a trick, off go the aprons, on goes the bulletpoof vests
> they're superheroes, living a life disguised as simple housewives
> their husbands don't know, and other then randomly mentioning boring work stuff at their secretly catered nightly dinner, the men are comic relief
> H.O.U.S.E.W.I.V.E.S. fight oppression across the world
There is not one show in the list that's not mind rotting slop. Imagine paying for this shit let alone watching it.
Amy Schumer bros..
I feel like they should show "hours per viewer" and "hours per viewer, including non watchers"
It's a bit of a false economy because a 90 minute film would quickly be outpaced by a 10 episode TV show
Interesting, most of their woke shit isn’t the most popular
It's quite interesting comparing similar shows. BoJack got literally 17 times the views as that Tuca and Bertie show that all the lesbians were upset about
Kek it got cancelled again. By adult swim. Who never cancel anything
why were the lesbians mad about it?
are lesbians ever not mad about something?
Maybe they noticed Tuca and Bertie was a terrible show?
>all that trash
its unironically over
do they have a breakdown by continent?
> global scores will be skewed by shows which were wildly popular in one country, but not in most others
I've literally never seen any of this slop, I guess my taste is a bit top refined for israeliteflix.
best films of the year in your opinion?
Night Agent is ok but is definitely for women (xy)
bump
this is gold but I can't do any hot memes until I get home to my desktop to run numbers and fire up Photoshop
>"The Night Agent" is Netflix's most watched show
Never heard about it. Cinemaphile never talked about it.
