Yeah it's tied with the world is not enough for my favorite theme
It's one of the few bond songs that can stand away from the film and is still amazing
Yes, also these theme songs:
License to Kill (Anyone who tries to tear us apart)
Moonraker (knows his dream will come true someday)
The Man with the Golden Gun (love is required whenever he's hired)
I used to like it too but it didn't age well. And it never fit as a Bond theme song.
Btw Timothy Dalton is the second worst Bond actor (after Daniel Craig of course) and anyone who disagrees is a fricking hipster homosexual.
Lastly what is your guys pick for most underrated Bond film? Mine is Diamonds Are Forever. Peak comfy 70's sillyness, almost feels like a live-action episode of Scooby-Doo. I can rewatch it anytime. Quantum of Solace comes at a close second. It's fast-paced and it has my favorite Bond girl (pic related).

I could only assume. Typically it's Craig gays that hate Brosnan so much. Oh well. If you're just a Dalton sigma, meh. He got two movies and never broke out. He's a minor bond like lazenby and always will be

Brosnan is a better Bond in literally every way conceivable, which is why they dropped the underperforming Dalton as soon as they could to replace him with the guy they wanted in the first place but couldn't get due to Brosnan's contractual obligations.
I agree that Goldeneye is overrated and I'd also say that all of Brosnan's other films are underrated.
>Btw Timothy Dalton is the second worst Bond actor
Agreed but I still consider him miles better than Craig
Most underrated for me is Die Another Day. Yes it's plot is moronic. Yes a north Korean becomes a white man and has a death ray
I don't care
Watching Brosnan cruising around the world like he owns the place no matter where he goes, and the great opening, sword fight, and car chase on ice.
It gets way too much hate and was the perfect film to celebrate the 40th anniversary
I'd say in regards to its bond carrying the film and making it way better than it should be, diamonds are forever is compareable to die another day in that regard
Agreed. In fact DAD is not any more or any less silly than most other Bond films if you really think about it.

i think craig and olga almost redeem that movie. casino royale is one of the best bond movies for me. i dont like brosnan as bond. goldeneye is absurdly overated, the action scenes are silly but not in a good way.

Diamonds is solid. It’s like Temple of Doom. No matter how meh it is it still has Connery as Bond which is a treat compared to shit we have now
It had a delicate mix of grounded and goofy / playful stuff (with the latter being slightly more dominant), great variety in terms of environment and locations, some unorthodox casting choices that turned out well (who've thought Topol from FonR would work in a Bond movie?) and a surprisingly decent plot that keeps your attention.
Oh God, I couldn't believe that it made it's way to the final cut. Luckily, the film quickly recovers but it was totally uncalled-for.
In some ways these more toned down Bond plots are better in their own way. Similar to The Living Daylights, it’s more of a Cold War fiction tale instead of an over the top one like Moonraker. Not that Moonraker is bad, but these plots which are smaller in grandeur need to be regraded with equal respect I think.
>Moonraker
I'm amazed that's what they made moonraker into. I enjoy it but seriously, if you get a chance, read the book. Minus the villains name they are 2 completely different stories and the book is much less campy. I'm surprised they have not adapted it for a new movie yet
I’ve got most of the Bond books, just haven’t got to Moonraker yet, but when it comes to threads on teevee, I don’t really mix the two. I don’t think we can really discuss Casino Royale the film, the book, and then compare both to some other film and come to a logical conclusion in the same sentence/post.
That being said, I trust your post to have merit to it, I’ve seen in the post other anons comment similar things.
>Moore bad
Filtered. Moore was great as Bond. His movies were fun and he was suave and I hope we get something closer to his movies with the next actor
1. Thunderball
2. Goldfinger
3. Goldeneye
4. Dr. No

10. From Russia With Love
11. A View To Kill
12. You Only Live Twice

23. Spectre
24. Quantom Solace
25. Die Another Day
26. No Time To Die
>5. The Man With The Golden Gun
Based. Thought I was the only one here here who thought this. Great villain, great locations, great bad guy hideout, great theme
Extremely underrated. I even like the slide whistle
Cosign. Also, Christopher Lee. Goodnight and Maude Adams and Choo Me. His Hong Kong liaison with the black belt nieces. Sideways HQ. Nick Nack. Hall of mirrors. Actual golden gun. Cigarette case gun. And, yes, w/o question one of the top 10 or 5 stunts in the series, scored with a slide whistle.
People who don't like Moore are morons who think Bond is actually some seriously classy shit and not simply pulp but with a budget. Moore was his own Bond. He had fun with it. And he was great in Cannonball Run.
>Moore was his own Bond. He had fun with it.
Exactly. Moore didn't need to be Connery bond 2.0. Doing his own thing is why he was successful and he had alot of fun movies.
And yeah the bond books are pretty much pulp. Love the book version of live and let die fir that reason
it has important ingredients like: underwater action scene, bond fights athlethic henchman, bond girl who tries to be a badass.
quirky car chase is one of my favorites.
For me it's the theme song. Easily top 3 for me
I love the bit at 2:05 when she smiles like that
The blondie theme song they ended up not using is interesting too
It's not bad but I still prefer what we got. It's just a beautiful song and goes with the movie better imo
thank god they went with the other track
I unironically fricking love this song
YOU CAN SEE SO MUCH IN ME
SO MUCH IN ME THAT'S NEW
I NEVER FELT
TIL I LOOKED AT YOUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Yeah it's tied with the world is not enough for my favorite theme
It's one of the few bond songs that can stand away from the film and is still amazing
Yes, also these theme songs:
License to Kill (Anyone who tries to tear us apart)
Moonraker (knows his dream will come true someday)

Moonraker is definitely an underrated theme

Golden Gun is probably the tackiest Bond theme out there. Got some charm though.
Moonraker theme is amazing
Based
THE PASSIONS THAT COLLIDE IN ME
THE WILD ABANDONED SIDE OF ME
not just top 3 but the very best Bond song, nothing even comes close
Conti's soundtrack is pure kino
kys
I didn't remember the score much. Watching it now, I dig it
For me its salt corrosion
Holy Kino, thanks for sharing
awful corny intro scene though, the rest is perfect and I love sheen easton song
The intro gave us the blofeld closure we didn't know we wanted

moore is garbage but ive come to appreciate its charm
>Moore is garbage
Filtered. Dude had a class that others don't
I like my Bond like the one in the books. A cold ruthless bastard.
Books are literally pulp
They're fun not some edge lord fantasy
Yeah and in that pulp he's a hard-boiled type.
one of the worst Bond films. I dare anybody to tell me the villains name and his plot without looking it up
Christos
Isn't his plan to sell the tech thing that gets sunk in the ship to the russians?
the ATAC system, probably the laziest macguffin in the franchise

boat line dragger of protagonists
It's the guy from Star Wars looking for his ATAT system
ATAC TO ST CYRILS

he was literally a fricking clown in octopussy

Love that movie

Be happy. His 3rd movie was gonna have a terminator in it basically
Wouldn't have been like his previous two
