>forced to become a go-between of your adoptive dad's terrorist group and a rich asshole

>forced to become a go-between of your adoptive dad's terrorist group and a rich butthole
>try to stop your terrorist buddies from shooting up your school
>get beaten up and imprisoned against your will
>help in stopping Norea's rampage and Quiet Zero
>get a longer jail sentence than the Grassley girls

What did Nika do to deserve this? I've seen some people argue that she did it out of her own volition, but why was she punished in the first place?

She was honestly my favorite character for being dealt such shitty hands and ending up in a situation where literally everyone hated her for things that were outside of her control, yet tried her hardest to be a good person and remain idealistic.

Same. Nika is a shining light in a dark universe. All her life she has been abused by both Earthians and Spacians, yet she still refuses to accept violence or vengeance against any of them. We need more Nikas.

    >show spends the whole run saying how bad Spacians treat Earthians
    >show ends with all the Earthian characters in jail while the Spacians engaging in killing sprees and human experimentation get off completely scot-free
    >it’s still portrayed as a happy ending
What did they mean by this?

      >>show ends with all the Earthian characters in jail
Earth House didn't go to jail because they did nothing wrong. Moreover, Grassley girls were let go, and Naji, despite making Sophie and Norea child soldiers and leading a terrorist group, also just walks away smiling.

Point still stands that Nika, who really didn’t do much wrong in the grand scheme of things, got three years in the slammer while Prospera (a woman who killed hundreds of people and tried to turn the world into a weird cyber-dream acid trip zone for the sake of her mecha-daughter) and the Peil hags (who oversaw a human trafficking and experimentation ring) got off completely free of charge

Fair enough. Space glowies also seem to have gotten away with, despite the fact the entire Earth Sphere was exposed to the fact SAL funded terrorism against Spacians.

Just goes to show you that if you have money, the laws are different for you. Just like real life.

Wfm was totally schizo. One of the worst written shows I've ever seen

I'm surprised none of the Grassley girls died in their battle against Guel to demonstrate that this wasn't a school duel anymore, when you fight with mobile suits you're playing for keeps. It's not like they had other roles they needed to perform.
