The show got better when I started skipping every scene without the empire. Most episodes are only 10 minutes long though. The only thing I miss is the black moms rump. No homosexual but I like looking at it.
I havent reade the books yet. But the series is shaping up to be one of the less boring ones running atm.

season 2 is like 100 years after season 1
It's been like over a hundred years, so you're looking at the Cleon(s) that are removed from the 3 of season 1.
So you're on a totally new set, maybe even the third set after them depending on how long they can enhance their 'life' span. Though it seems they turn in early to suspension tanks so, on average 70 years or so it looks like. My guess is set 3.
Thinking of how bad S02 was of Altered Carbon was, I'm quite pleased of how adequate Foundation is.

thanks for reminding me to read the second book and I read the first one for the 3rd time in anticipation of the first season which I couldn't force myself to finish. Though watching the trailer I should of expected as much. TV writers should just collapse and die.

the empire story is much worse this season, even not accounting for the muttoid actively shitting it up, but the rest is not as bad as the terminus was
