Francis Ford Coppola's 1982 film One From The Heart is being released on 4k and since it's apparently a major inspiration for Joker: Folie à Deux, which is being billed as a musical, it seems like a good time to revisit it and learn why it ended up being a disaster that bankrupted FFC.
Here's the trailer for the restoration....

>Isn't Nastasja Kinski in it?
Yep....
!!!FACT!!!
Apparently she learned to tightrope walk and did her own stunts for this movie
What a bawd
I despise your posting style dickhead
>tfw you realize
VILLABANANAS IS A HACK
Whata are some kinos about hack frauds?
>Famous for frick every director she was worked with
Did she fricked the Coppo?
If he didn't he's a stronger man than me
Its gonna be wild and shocking when Joker 2 absolutely fricking tanks.
That’s the joke of it all. Toddy P gets complete creative control to make the least marketable thing possible and it either tanks (hilarious, joker-esque I might even add, “studio’s gonna freak) or doesn’t (absurd and equally hilarious because now the joker franchise fanbase is incels, gays, and women).
If this does well I can’t wait for Jok3r, which will be a stand and deliver inspired story of Joker connecting with underprivileged youths. Then if that does well, perhaps a comedic and satirical mockumentary ala This is Spinal Tap!. Then the fifth installment can be Koyaanisqatsi, but with the ancient Algonquin word for joker.
All of those ideas sound kino
Finally this kino is getting the love it deserves
What is this film about?
man and wife break up, have sex with other people, will they come back together at the end? yes, of course
It's about family, and that's what's so powerful about it
Old Vegas is cinematic kino
Only surpassed by late 70s and early 80s New York
The whole movie was filmed on soundstages
terri garr is...le cute
Yes, but I hated her in this movie, she's a bipolar b***h who breaks up with her bf to go back to riding the wiener carousel. I would have dumped her for Kinski in a heartbeat.
love me some Garr, so cute in that 70s and early 80s period, then big time MILF in the late 80s and early 90s (just watched Short Time starring Dabney Coleman from 1990 the other day, and she still did it for me at that point in time)
>Having apparently learned nothing, Coppola would then experience a very similar fate when The Cotton Club was shunned by the ticket-paying public in 1984.
This isn't just a restoration ? it has new stuff?
Coppola could not help himself and did his obligatory recut when it got released on DVD
He was so unbelievably frickable
It's a major plebfilter.
The Rain People is finally coming out on blu ray too
>blunder that made Francis Ford Coppola do shit films for cash for 20 years is the influence of Joker 2
uh oh
The only interesting thing about that movie was Teri Garr's breasts, before she got all creepy looking.
