I love Frasier but I don't know what the hook of this reboot is supposed to be? He returns to Boston to reconnect with Freddie? Why do all the supporting characters seem so bland? Why is Freddie a non-character? He just seems like a normal, boring guy. He's a genius kid that grew up under Lilith's stern watch and constant emasculation, he should be dysfunctional. What a missed opportunity. Where is the comedy going to come from there?
He dropped out of college and became a firefighter. That's gotta sting, considering how much time and effort went into preparing him for a life of more intellectual pursuits. Presumably they'd have made him a police officer, to follow even more closely to Martin, but didn't want the hassle of all the bad press those guys have gotten lately.
For one episode and it wasn't even a phase, it was just a misguided attempt to get a girl. He gave it up the second she ditched him for another guy.

Precisely, literally every guy has done something moronic to try and impress a girl during adolescence. I don't see how that is conducive to him giving up academia and becoming a fireman.

I didn't say it did. I was just reminiscing

Oh okay, I assumed you brought it up as a supporting point to me saying becoming a fireman didn't seem like Freddie.
Yep. Video games suck because people treat them like art when they're not. Film/TV sucks because we now have to put them all on the same level as some dogshit entertainment for kids i.e. video games.
I watched about 20-30 eps on rerun on tv, always wanted to watch it from start to finish but some episodes were just so boring with forced drama based on complete contrivances while others were incredibly funny and profoundly poignant. Can any /frasier/bros give me a guide, should I skip seasons or stop at some point when it falls off?
Just restart from the beginning.
Don't worry there's a guaranteed to be awful reboot series airing soon that'll make you wish it actually stayed over
I dare someone to convince me to watch Frasier
To this very day I refuse to watch the final two episodes.
I never watched it because it normalizes homosexuality.
The only gay character on the show is Gil and he's treated like a joke
Uh, what? Gil is married to a woman. Not sure where you got the idea he's gay.
One of my favorite running jokes
>She is not a cat! She is Mrs. Gilbert Leslie Chesterton, a Sarah Lawrence graduate, and the owner of a very successful auto body repair shop!
>if you must know, deb is with her reserve unit practising military manoeuvres
You're in luck, friend! A new series is starting later this month!! Frasier is BACK, baby!
Set me on fire
Its gonna be awful.
That's funny, somebody replace my Frasier revival with Cheers.

That doesn't remotely come across as Freddie. Not one bit.
Remember when he was goth?

Just watch The Prisoner and pretend Number 6 is Frasier.
Only 2 episodes left
It will be bittersweet.
Fricking Hagrid is one of Daphnes brothers
So is Withnail.

Someone actually made a chart that graphed out each episode on how essential and good the episode is. I wish I had it
I can't remember how much I agree with it, but here it is bros
thanks bro, I'll check out all the yellow ones and rewatch everything if I haven't had my fill of tossed salads and scrambled eggs
