>they think they can compress COIE into 80 minutes
I predict Supergirl will basically be the main character and she dies not in the middle but at the end fighting the Anti-Monitor and his stooge which will be the Golden Age Superman because lately the DC animated specials all seem to have weird heel turns (Hal in GL, Mon-El in LSH).
Crisis on Infinite Earths cannot be compressed in 80 minutes. It needs to be either a Animated Trilogy or at minimum 3 Hours. This is gonna be the Injustice movie all over again, isn't it.
Finally an animated movie that will be way better than the live action movie and tv show.
Not as good as the comic but only because of time restraints.
Animation is a more engaging medium than comics but it can't adapt the whole comic 100% unless it's a tv show instead of a movie.
once again DC overestimates how popular their "big stories" are. all I'm saying is I'm not looking forward to a 4 hour animated movie adapting the entirety of COIE.
Don't know but unless it's by far the longest animated movie they've ever made. The Most faithful adaptation will always be Zack Snyder's Watchmen (2009)
Ginger->black is cherrypicked. In reality gingers also often get replaced with brunettes and blondes. It's because ginger actors are hard to find. I remember reading there's more people with schizophrenia than actual red heads.
>It's hard to buy that he had a kid given the way the scene with his wife plays out
The whole point is that they had a happy, normal marriage until he met Rorschach.
I think it's funny that animated Watchmen is actually not a bad idea if done properly, but Crisis on Infinite Earths is just a bad idea however you slice it
The only way this'll be good is if the animation tries to emulate Dave Gibbons's style. But knowing DC, this will be some cheaply animated rubbish thrown together in that same stock style they use for every animated flick they pump out
Motion comic outside of it being one guy doing all the voices (which he great for all the males and the best Rorschach) and the limited animation already the perfect adaptation.
is this real or false?
Real, I fear.
Animated too?
there it says "DC universe" so i guess not
DC Universe is just what they call their DTV line.
Oh shit that anon was not bullshitting
So they want to reboot the cartoon movie line again??
That's all DC does anymore
reboot every 4-5 years

I hope /ourguy/ is shown the respect he deserves.
what?
Wait are you there on site at SDCC Hall H?

I have no faith in current DC animation though
Really??
once again DC overestimates how popular their "big stories" are. all I'm saying is I'm not looking forward to a 4 hour animated movie adapting the entirety of COIE.
Infinity Gauntlet > any crisis
I mean, it can't be worse than that tv show.
Holy shit that was so bad.
>Bleach
I wonder what they will change. Doubt they'll fit the entire book.
Don't know but unless it's by far the longest animated movie they've ever made. The Most faithful adaptation will always be Zack Snyder's Watchmen (2009)
The motion comic
can't wait for Doomsday wiener
They're gonna make Rorschach black.
>another ginger
lmao idk why they keep specifically doing the ginger-->black raceswap
I guess gingers were the go-to token "minority" before. Now everyone wants brown points.
Ginger->black is cherrypicked. In reality gingers also often get replaced with brunettes and blondes. It's because ginger actors are hard to find. I remember reading there's more people with schizophrenia than actual red heads.
>ginger actors are hard to find
Bottle of dye or a wig fixes that
Hollywood actors have this thing about not wanting to change their appearance. Uppity folks
>there's more people with schizophrenia than actual red heads
And they're all in Cinemaphile.
It's not the same guy anon. It's the son of the (black) psychologist Rorschach saw in Watchmen.
It's hard to buy that he had a kid given the way the scene with his wife plays out and then he dies.

But there's no indication anywhere that they have kids.
Hollywood execs are dyslexic.
It's an anagram.
g-i-n-g-e-r

Yeah how? Like it's Crisis but only for DC animation lol
The Filmation stuff, DCAU, The Batman, TT, BATB, TTG, YJ etc
That would be pretty cool but if it's not a trilogy it won't work.
They already did a motion comic
How the frick are they gonna do it justice as a single regular DTV? Not a two-parter at least?
Frick... how many times are we supposed to gulp that shitty story?
Couldnt they at least try to do something new with V for Vendetta?
The only way this'll be good is if the animation tries to emulate Dave Gibbons's style. But knowing DC, this will be some cheaply animated rubbish thrown together in that same stock style they use for every animated flick they pump out

they can't top this.
But Snyder's movie was practically animated already
Holy shit, it's actually real now. Reality is beyond parody.
Doomsday Clock movie incoming? That's the only reason i see them adapting it only now.
Please, I can only get so erect.
It's from the rigor mortis Alan. Let it go. It's time to leave this mortal realm.
Doomsday Clock was great.
Oh god they're building up to animated BatJokerManhattan aren't they?
NEXT SUMMER
Just keep on milking it by reprinting the comic, there's no reason to defile it like this
>*serpent wizard is rolling profusely in his grave*
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8SVQGbLS6U
You know, if DC wants to get back on their feet maybe they should stop pissing off the grumpy wizard.
Alan Moore is turning in his grave. Can they leave his legacy alone?
He's not even dead
Relax, pick up some little lulu
Why is it always the same few fricking titles with DC?
Remember the "I did it!" with Alan Moore in the place of Ozymandias? Seems that was wishful thinking and the exact opposite has happened.
He must be absolutely minted considering he still lives in the same terrace house he bought for about £3,000
I guess the DC curse will continue for more 20 years
the simpsons did it again
Who will be black?
