this decision for making him a sympathetic character can be easily explained when i tell you the shows core audience at that time was tumblr girls in middle school
Not really. That's more of a traditional Lucifer motivation. Supernatural Lucifer rebelled because he had been corrupted by the mark of Cain, which God entrusted him with as he was God's favorite, as well as an innate dislike/jealousy of humans. Which was made worse by the mark. He'll occasionally say shit like "daddy bad, I was just standing up for us, my brothers". But it's been proven countless times that he was always being deceitful and self-serving. He even betrayed and used his own son after giving him the whole speech about how he cares about him.
>dig yourself into moronic pit of cliffhangers and mysteries with no planned conclusions >just write in a god to explain it all >botch even the god plot and need a way out >"actually they were all dead haha"
It does not. It pioneered so much that it makes itself look cliche
Don't underestimate the power of nostalgia, even if the series itself doesn't hold up well. You tend to forgive a lot if it's something you can reminisce over.
Him Sawyer and Jack pretty much carried the last 3 seasons on their backs, even the showrunners knew this and decided to have their two demi god insert characters use Locke and Jack as vessels because their acting could carry the shitty writing
He's such a mixed bad in Supernatural, I'm currently up to the final season. I never liked his casting as Lucifer, because he wasn't beautiful/otherworldly enough. Especially when you have angels like Castiel who really do feel like they're otherworldly. Then he was too goofy/quippy. Which could be fun, but at the same time you had everyone telling you how utterly evil and horrifying he is and all the abhorrent shit he's done, the dichotomy just made it too hard to believe.
He really did hit his stride in season 13. Finally got his groove with the character. It was 90% good humor, but it was entertaining at least. I like the actor.
>if he leaves the island EVERYONE WILL DIE FOREVER >why? >dont worry about why, just trust me, even though ive lied to you constantly
>hes PURE EVIL! >flashback shows hes mostly in the right
Honestly he did some pretty shitty things but i can really sympathize with him after watching him being horribly abused and manipulated, having his friends killed, and being trapped there for hundreds, maybe thousands of years. He was even stuck in human form at the end so he couldnt really hurt anyone anymore
>He was even stuck in human form at the end so he couldnt really hurt anyone anymore
i think he would gain his smoke powers again after jack turned the light back on, but idk the whole thing is moronic. they could just let the island sink and the smoke guy wouldve lived but without his powers

He was always a sympathetic guy. His whole story is that he rebelled against his Father and brothers because he loved them too much.

I don't know what show this is but I assume he plays an evil character but tries to present himself as a funny likeable guy
Jacob from Lost?
The Husband that Dexter cucked?
give some context homosexual
Jacob from Lost
One of the worst characters ever created and ruined a genuine 10/10 show
>dig yourself into moronic pit of cliffhangers and mysteries with no planned conclusions

>botch even the god plot and need a way out
>"actually they were all dead haha"
They were not all dead, showrunner literally explains it so in this interview you stupid inbred moron
writers strike ruined the show
That's the point of the post. He's typecast as a scumbag the show expects you to sympathize with.
lucifer?
That piece of shit up there, I never liked him. I never trusted him.
In Lost he was just a delusional, brainwashed butthole that caused most of the shit with his brother in the first place.
Bosch kicked his ass.
Well duh, he's Lucifer. You tell me that I supposed to root for the Devil?
You don't?
bros i haven't watched Lost in over 10 years, does it hold up these days or would i just be disappointed?
i was like 14 when i saw the finale and thought it was pretty dope overall but can't remember all that much besides basic plot points.
It does not. It pioneered so much that it makes itself look cliche
it paved the way for fatties to think being fat was nothing they could change

This guy played a god like thing in Lost and Supernatural
Well, he played a placeholder. His true form was this.
Saaaaaaaaaaaaam?
sammeh?
daaamn she's so fricking fooooinnee.
>"What about you?"
he delivered more in that one line then Ben Linus did his entire arc.
They both sucked and ruined the show
Locke carried the show even after he died til the very on. Whenever he was on screen you know kino was about to happen.
Him Sawyer and Jack pretty much carried the last 3 seasons on their backs, even the showrunners knew this and decided to have their two demi god insert characters use Locke and Jack as vessels because their acting could carry the shitty writing
Don't forget Ben
Don't tell me what to do you fricking c**t
He sucked
ben was great, especially purgatory good guy ben
>following everyone like an npc and barely saying any words because he has become le believer
jack's character was ruined after season 4

I thought he made a great devil.
WHERES THE FRICKING MONEY, LEBOWSKI
Lost season 6 sucked balls.
Same actor plays a guy who dies in Dexter who everyone hates so tune into that
At least he wasn't a wimpy loser homosexual like Locke.
he did ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong
>if he leaves the island EVERYONE WILL DIE FOREVER

NO, you cant let the island sink, because its uhhh, special somehow, even though its brought almost exclusively suffering
No
