Why was she bald again?
It was my favorite in my youth, but I get why people were upset with Newt and Hicks being killed off. I still prefer the depressing atmosphere of 3.
She crashed on a prison colony, she shaved her head so as not to stand out.
Wasn't there a lice problem or something
charles dance explains the prison has a lice problem, not sure what the anon above me is talking about
Lice.
Lice, but the real reason is my fetish.
I loved it
stop liking what i don't like
No >:)
when Clemens dies the whole film devolves into this unbearable crunch of hopelessness, it's fricking kino
>We're all gonna die, the only question is when. This is as good a place as any to take your first steps to heaven. The only question is how you check out. Do you wanna go on your feet? Or on your fricking knees, begging? I ain't much for begging! Nobody ever gave me nothin! So I say frick that thing! Let's fight it!
it's underrated and I've read the other ideas that were considered for this, they were not better
>I've read the other ideas that were considered for this, they were not better
I kind of like Vincent Ward's earlier idea with this weird space station were a group of technology-disliking monks live in a medieval environment with windmills and Hieronymus Bosch vibes. I don't know how they could have done this successfully and it's no surprise they dropped this plan, but it's a very intriguing concept.
They didn't even drop it completely, the basic story elements are still the same, it's all just slightly altered to make it more conventional: Prisoners instead of monks, a dog for the sheep, a pit of molten steel instead of glass and so on.
It's a shame we never got a comic or novelization of his screenplay. I guess it would have been too similar to the movie and Ward isn't as big of a draw as Gibson.
The only reason normies hated it was it brought it back to its horror roots versus being capeshit like 2
Also because it was a pile of shit compared to the first two. What's shocking is that Alien 3 and 4 are rightfully seen as bad films, but when compared to everything else in the franchise and especially 2010 films in general, they are perfectly entertaining flicks.
3 is seen as a bad film by the manchildren who wanted Alien to turn into Starship Troopers
It was seen as a bad movie before Starship Troopers came out. People only pretended to like Alien 3 because of Fincher in the early 2000's. It's one of the more pathetic contrarian opinions to hold.
Fincher is overrated. I like Alien 3 for the sets, score, acting, dialogue, and even the visual effects.
oh he likes endless waiting for the next fricking jumpscare like the trash that is alien. he probably calls it "more cerebral" too
Its not as bad as people say it is, just a little too bleak for general audiences. Hell they start the movie but sawing a child in half.
It's patrician Cinemaphile-core.
This, so much better than the proto-capeshit Cameronslop that was Aliens
Test.
Read the novelization or even the comic book adaption; it fills in a lot of holes with scenes that were cut from the movie. It becomes comprehensible.
>2013+10
>still no destroying angels adaptation
>Destroying Angels adaptation
You mean Prometheus? Lel
Aliens > Alien 3 > Alien Resurrection > Alien
Fricking fight me chuds
Alien > Alien 3 > Aliens > Resurrection
correct
The objectively correct ranking
Alien/Aliens > Resurrection (I have my reasons) > Prometheus > 3 > Covenant.
>frick you I like it
you'll be dead in 10 years anyway, enjoy your shit movies boomer.
Prometheus and Covenant makes the earlier movies unwatchable because of how outdated they are.
Cutting the Golic plot is absolutely galling after learning about it. I'd have been so pissed if I were that actor
qrd?
I know studio meddling is a meme, but considering Fincher's body of work I'm absolutely comfortable laying it on the suits.
