Chrysalis was my favorite WAIFU.
Anybody who compared this to Archer or criticized it as being a second rate Archer obviously never watched any of it, and I'm a dyed-in-the wool Archer fan, so I should know.
This show was too short lived, and had potential for another season.
I think they only cancelled it because Rob Lowe don't come cheap!
I think the main guy was a bit too Archer-like, also the boss woman was comparable to Mallory (sorry I haven't watched Moonbeam in years), but that was where the similarities ended.
The show was absolutely short lived and with the insane 1980s nostalgia that was happening at the time, I'm surprised it didn't get more love.
I disagree with your Archer Comparison.
Dazzle pretty much had every situation under control with out having to improvise because of failure of foresite, and didn't have Mommy Issues.
Pizzazz might have been a bossy b***h at times, but that's where the similarities end. The relationship between the two were like ex-lovers who, despite the acrimony, and the break up still fricked, whereas the relationship between Archer and Mallory was a very fricked up Oedipus situation. If anything, I would compare Pizzazz more to Lana than Mallory, and even THAT'S stretching it a bit.
Personally, my Archer comparison is that they were saying random shit the whole fricking time. It wasn't the relationships between characters, the situations, or the characters themselves it was entirely how they were written throughout that resembled Archer.
And that's what made it bad, the resemblance to Archer's writing. The situations, scenarios, ideas, plots in Moonbeam were fine - the problem was the writing of the dialog to sell those ideas that was so fricking awful. Making Rad full-time moronic and Dazzle part-time moronic did the show a huge disservice. If they portrayed Dazzle as a slacker while being an incredibly competent slacker that would have been great. But the problem was that the moronic people in the show were constantly outmanoeuvring the competent people when the entire show should have consisted of competent people.
Frick you so did I.
It's a shame everyone dismissed it as 80s Archer when its actually Metalaclypse with Cops.
I don't think Dazzle had any situation under control, he's just a moron living in a world where everyone agrees he's the protagonist, I'm pretty sure the very first thing he does is majorly frick up. The difference between him and Archer is Archer's idiocy is based more in his more consistent self-destructive habits. He's shown to be smart most the time but it's usually misapplied to spite others or chase stupid ends. Dazzle is a complete airhead who literally has his job because he's the hottest guy there.
Same and I'm not even gay or Black person
who are those frickers and why do they look like the Endless
Holy shit they kinda do
Me but with the Harley Quinn cartoon.
I'll give this a shot anon.
I liked it but it was too close to being an Archer clone and took too long to hit its stride.
Dude look like Nicky Larson.
Frick you I liked it
Bad taste
i can only see elaine from seinfeld on the left
Frick you I liked it
Kobe Bryant faked his death.
I mis Pizzas
JOJO!?
I really think this show should've gotten a second chance. There were some good stuff in it. Music was great.

But at least we both agree on Chrysalis.

>Female protagonist submits to blackmail and rape
>It makes her a hero that saves the city
>Has to do it regularly
Fricking fantastic, a real woman taking it like a champ
I wish there was porn of it.
It introduced me to Night Club, at least.
Same anon same
apparently the guy who created it was the guy that made the sex offender shuffle video.
