True, Margaret didn't actually care about Mordecai once she move out to college and she was deep down jealous that he move on with CJ, Mordecai going back to simping for her will be infuriating to me because it was very obvious that the writers only wanted to add cheap drama to the show
It was very cheap drama and I disliked how it made cj out to be the bad guy like she had anger issues yeah but is it really crazy to think Mordecai got unresolved feelings?

It's weird in Rigby's graduation her small cameo was meant to be an eye roll and "Whatever, I'm glad that guy's in space." I find it really unfair that Matt and team kept painting her as a bad guy, and that they seemed so willing to discard her.
Her, Thomas, and gene are the most missed potential characters. I would’ve loved for them to be in the final season. CJ would be hard to justify but I feel like they could’ve had Thomas sneak to the park to celebrate his grad party and get trapped in space.
