Marcy definitely.
It's a bummer that Toph never got her field trip with Zuko or follow-up with her parents, but she was still with the main crew and had fun moments all season. Marcy was the catalyst for the show's events, had the set-up for a big arc in dealing with her issues, and had her mind linked to the main villain, and she still doesn't get any real agency until the finale. And even then, her rejecting the Core doesn't even get to tie into helping Sasha in the fight against Darcy.
Marcy because her big fakeout death followed by zero mention of her afterwards was egregious for any sense of emotional weight that True Colors tried to set. Made all of season 3A feel like a Disney higher-up was standing with a gun to the head of any writer that wanted to acknowledge that a kid got stabbed on their show.
Take away that trash shit, make it "listening to 20 min long rock songs", switch Polly for Maddie, and it's literally me
That Maddie is too good for the absolute shit of a story she is in.
Imagine her getting a series where she goes full on bounty hutner, chasing cryptidsand stuff

Her impact boils down to taking Grime's arm and one neat fight with Sasha.
If we had seen more of Marcy's journey through the core and interacting with characters like Aldrich throughout the season instead of for just one episode, maybe the idea would have made more of an impact.
