SON
LOUDER, JIMMY
Easily my favorite show of all time.
No matter how I feel or what happens in my life I know I can just shut myself from everything and everyone and rewatch this masterpiece.
Anyone else act like Billings at work
No, I'm more like Vic. My boss is Hispanic and I make fun of him all the time. And night after construction, I had to pistol whip him for not having my paycheck ready. He musta left town cause they never found the body.
Based Vic, though you should know one of your close friends stole your paycheck and blamed it on him...
I always felt he was sent into the unit as a rat you are correct with him feeling forced,
I think that was part of the intention of his character.
>still getting physical pay checks in the year of our Lord 2024 According To The Julian Calendar
Do americans really?
>Do americans really?
yep, and they have to wait 10 days for the cheque to clear after physically paying it into a bank, they have to pay a 15% fee to clear it and they have to tip the cashier
mfw Vic lets another minority into the clubhouse
Never liked Tavon idk why
he never seemed convincing as a tough guy. although that russian roulette trick where he hid the bullet was pretty cool
Agree that scene kinda sold him but dunno he seemed just...boring no ?
Its cause hes... well uh.. he.. he had brain damage yeah that.
The greatest thing about the shield is that its practically unknown to the majority of people, you can ask anyone on the street if they watched it, they'll ask the what now?
Even before the brain damage he seemed forced
Tavon was chill, just wienery.
>Watching this season
>Why don't they just go to the cops and say antwon set them up, it's their word against his
>10 episodes later that's literally how they resolve it
meh
Because it's Shane...
Have you been paying attention?
I want a friend like Lemansky is it too much to ask for???
Never seen this show it seems like there's a lot of gay rape
Theres only 1 instance of gay rape.
Are you sure? I've heard tell of a a homosexual Black person son
Just an expression
Hungry like the wolllfffff

I hated and loved this Black person so fricking much, he was absolutely the worst and best counter to Vic's team.
he didn't counter shit lol
was never even close
Kek he got Lem killed and split the team, better than that wienersucker Acevada even managed
>that anon there, he is pissin all over this board
When breaking goes wrong
kino
>You know what man?
>Even with all that money, all that power
>At the end of the day, you're still just a Black person
How do you respond to this without seeming mad?
Anon, have some gum. C'mon I know you want a stick. Here take it. I insist. You do want some gum, right?
Is it a fresh pack?
it's Juicy Fruit
>Juicy Fruit
piss flavored gum? that guy was a sick mofo
Sweet butter flavored
I have a feeling Kavennah's ex wife was into "watersports" and Vic enjoyed being raped by her.

Why are these primative beings moving their feet in a pointless fashion and making bizarre hand gestures? Is it some mating ritual?
This is one of the uncomfiest shows ever made. Gangs, poverty, perverts, hospitals, police stations, prison filmed in that immersive style. The constant pressure of the team getting caught. I mean the stress the Strike team's under is immense. Every mission they can just get shot by a random criminal and if they get caught they get to be cops in prison.
How do people do jobs like this? I have a hard time leaving my home.
People have a death wish, a higher calling, like the power that comes with the badge and the gun, have ideals of fixing society or even just want to break a homie's head open. Some other simply have no idea what's waiting for them. Many reasons to be a cop in those places, but it's a thankless dangerous job and it WILL make any bleeding heart liberal a sheer racist and cynic with all the shit they'll go through.
The Strike team though? They're bona fide villains most of them. There's a reason the writer based them on the infamous CRASH team
>The Strike team though? They're bona fide villains most of them.
nah
Vic is both hero and villlain, Lem isn't a villain at all despite the stuff he does on behalf of the Strike Team, Ronnie is simply amoral and without conscience except with respect to the team, and Shane is weak, easily corrupted, and the closest to being a true villain—at minimum, he's the most irredeemable.
That's one of the implicit messages of The Shield: the system, such as it is, precludes the existence of heroes; and the game is so complex, and there are so many unwritten rules, that in order to be effective at the job one has to figure out which rules to break—even Claudette recognizes this when she tells Hyatt that to head the Strike Team, she doesn't want Vic, but she wants someone who is 'a little Vic'.
Hyatt was planned a spinoff show. But nobody wants to watch a good looking super cop pretending to be a rebel. Hyatt fricked all the girls at The Barn and left.
cause its a TV show and being a cop in real life is more akin to being a human garbage man than vic mackey
You do understand this was based off real life events during the LAPD Rampart Scandal, don't you? The CRASH squad even had cards like the Strike Team.
The Rampart Scandal was so lame irl though. Except their connection to 2 Pac's murder.
