Rosengarten Saga is consistently awesome, lewd, and hilarious. A real fricking gem of a manga.
Its pretty off the way from the start, but it really picks up once you actually get to the titular Rosengarten and the rest of the cast shows up.

Comics are nowhere near as funny as manga. Grand Blue is goat. Hinamatsuri, SpyxFamily, early Kaguya are all amazing.

To be fair, what good comedy comics are there? Newspaper funnies and webcomics sort of fill that space, there are basically no long form humor published comics.
Oh, there are lots of comics with humor IN them. But Deadpool is not a comedy comic. Deadpool is capeshit with jokes. There is a difference.
They don't have to be strictly comedy comics, just funny.
But even someone like Alan Moore has decent comedy comics like The Bojeffries Saga and Jack B. Quick from Tomorrow Stories.

Its the current most popular and successful shonen that doesn't hide behind pretending to be dark and mature. So its a high profile target that contrarians feel is easy picking. It does have some obvious flaws, but its nowhere near as egregious as people like to pretend, as evidenced by so many people continuing to quote the same short life of gripes that were debunked *pre-covid*.
