It didn't reach Aladdin, Lion King or Tarzan numbers tho.
Pixar didn’t surpass 2D Disney movies until Finding Nemo and even that didn’t surpass Lion King.
It was Shrek 2 that even surpassed 2D Disney.

What a shame than that overrated, boring, unfunny, outdated, visually unnapealing and vapid piece of garbage with no sincerity or the charm of the first one surpassed in the Box Office a masterpiece of animation and the Magnum Opus of Disney like The Lion King. The decline of western animation started here with this "movie", truly one of the worst Dreamworks/PDI efforts ever.

God, I am so glad I'm not the only one with this opinion anymore. Shrek 1 had so much heart. I can't stand to see people say Shrek 2 is equal, let alone better.

Shrek 2 is an Extremely Goofy Movie type of sequel. Lacks the heart from the original while feeling more commercial.

Because in TS1, Woody hates Buzz for most of the film. A lot of the great comedic interactions come from that dynamic (sadly, they could never do it again in the subsequent movies).
