>movie >feels like 4 episodes that could had been told in 1 episode.
No, it doesn't. There's too much shit going on to fit in one episode.
The movie season was the beginning of the end
More like the beginning of the middle.
>Retconns Jurassic bark, Luck of Fryish, and Game of Tones all in four easy episodes
Who taught this movie was good idea?
They felt really bad for all the fans that cried about Seymour.
I'd like to think the Lars timeline is noncanonical since it contradicts so much of what was established in canon. That's why Lars had to die- he went against time.
Nah, I hate the movies but after that the cc seasons have some decent stuff here and there I go back too, especially after the first season which is definitely the worst. I can have a good time with the cc revival episodes, I havent seen the movies in years.
Futurama had been bad for a while by that point. In fact it was always bad. It's just by the time it was uncancelled it had lost all its redeeming qualities.
What's strange? It's just a comedy writer attempting to do adventure action drama when he clearly can't. That's why the only specials that ever feel good without a new team are action shows. Action shows with 3-5 parters always feel natural.
The tentacle monster one sucked ass even more.
this is a smallbrain take for morons who dont understand linear time
it all fricking happened and you'll never be able to truly be happy and experience life until you can comprehend this
Somebody on Reddit recently pointed out something pretty obvious about the movie- wouldn't Leela find out Lars was Fry if they had sex? She would surely see his ass tattoo.
The writers didn't have the story until 2005. There really isn't an excuse in-universe other than "that's just how time works".

It doesn't make sense for Fry's mom to say Fry disappeared on New Year's Day in "Luck of the Fryrish" if Lars was canon to the timeline.
Because even if he didn't have his back to her as part of the sex, people get up to go to the bathroom or get dressed or for any other reason. Have you never had sex, anon?
Original Run > Worst Episodes Of Original Run > Best Episodes Of All Revivals > shit > Big game > Green Yonder > Big Score > Beast > All Other Revival Episodes
I don't know why people like Bender's Game, it's really boring and has 1 good joke, the Scary Door part. I guess it could just be a result of the other movies being so dire, though.
Wow Beast is THAT Bad? I watched Big Game and then immediately Beast and after that I got bored and didn't bother with the other specials.
I was hoping for Kids Next Door levels of good when it comes to specials and I was expecting at least 1 theatrical movie like the Dexter's Lab and PPG one.
They're so aged that I almost like them now. It makes me feel like an old man reflecting on a bygone era, like my grandpa explaining Looney Tunes parodies of actors from his youth
It doesn’t. Nothing past the original series is very funny but Bender’s Big Score is somewhat satisfying
It’s also peak NuFuturama so take that as a sign to come
if you take the best episodes from all of the comedy central seasons you can make about one decent season of futurama that is still worse than any of the original ones
it doesn't
bump
fpbp

The movies have a really strange tone

Pretty much why Disenchantment was mediocre too.
Your tail is wagging.
>Retconns Jurassic bark, Luck of Fryish, and Game of Tones all in four easy episodes

Only good thing I liked was how Seymur got to live peacefully alongside Fry until Bender came to the past.
that's not a retcon, he went back in time and changed things
>Game of Tones
doesn't matter at all, that Fry didn't see his mom like 'Lars' did
>Game of Tones
Does that count as a retcon since the episode was made years later?
> game of tones
That was after the movies

It wasn't a retcon, it was time travellers fricking things up so the stories became shittier.
Yes that's still terrible.
Somebody on Reddit recently pointed out something pretty obvious about the movie- wouldn't Leela find out Lars was Fry if they had sex? She would surely see his ass tattoo.
Futurama is for Redditors
Case in point
Was there a reason why nobody notice Fry having that tattoo before the movie?

Why would a woman see a man's ass during sex?
Depends on how much they get into it. Every time Leela has sex with a man both she and her partner are lying naked in bed by the end of it.
Exhibit A
Exhibit B
Because even if he didn't have his back to her as part of the sex, people get up to go to the bathroom or get dressed or for any other reason. Have you never had sex, anon?

???
The Al Gore/election jokes were the worst.
They're so aged that I almost like them now. It makes me feel like an old man reflecting on a bygone era, like my grandpa explaining Looney Tunes parodies of actors from his youth
better than the last few seasons. The last episode was cringe
pre-cancellation. you've already gone too far.
only in 2007
It doesn’t. Nothing past the original series is very funny but Bender’s Big Score is somewhat satisfying

I forgot how crazy the plot of this movie was
I like the expanded themesong,
>every seen character form a unity to beat the current threat's ass
I love it.
Futurama's quality fell of meteorically
if you take the best episodes from all of the comedy central seasons you can make about one decent season of futurama that is still worse than any of the original ones
