This season better have naked Amy and Leela butts like the OG series
Fry is the hottest character in the show
Comic source, specific issue?
>Image of 2 sexy women with bathing suits.
Oh god F yes!
All the series needs is more sexy girls being sexy.
>score 6 out of 10
How could it be That bad?
How could anything be that bad?
6 out of 10, might as well be like 2 out of 10.
Well I am already expecting disappointment.
>Futurama ""Season 11""
What else did you expect from Futurama in fricking 2023?
Is it all at once or weekly
It will be weekly IIRC
>kinoko
yes i am ready for the return of mushrooms..
but futurama.. is probably not going to be good. do you really want to hear them talking about vaccines and whatever other hanging-chad shit I saw in the title previews?
Futurama hasn't been kino for -as of this year- literally 20 fricking years, mate. The hell makes you think being written by hags from the Rick and Morty steno pool is going to change that?
really excited to see the antivaxxer episode
can't wait
Its going to be Clone high revival all over again
>Its going to be Clone high revival all over again
They have an episode titled "Zapp gets cancelled" and the description reads "Zapp's past actions finally caught up to him", so yeah
I find odd how the same crew from the show that removed Apu (plus all Indian characters) and recasted every single brown Simpsons character thinks they're in a position to make a cancel culture parody
>They have an episode titled "Zapp gets cancelled" and the description reads "Zapp's past actions finally caught up to him", so yeah
Either you never watched the show or you're just too young to realize how much of it was topical subject matter at the time because they've always done this. They had episodes about the iPhone craze, global warming in the early 2000s, the legalization of gay marriage, nappster, and more. The discussion around cancel culture has quieted some but it was still a topical subject during production.
Not him, but I’m more worried it’s going to just be a rehash of the episode where he gets fired for destroying Doop.
If they make fun of cancel culture, it's fine by me.
But Twitter got pissy when Digimon did it.
Digimon made fun of cancel culture?
Well my first reaction from this synopsis is definitely to autistically explain why it doesn't make sense in continuity. The Tamers digimon and digital world was intentionally created by college students in the 80s.
Literally any other series where the digital world is a parallel universe, or a symbiotic growth off of human technology or manifestation of imagination something like this could happen without also requiring someone to actually sit down and program a digimon to tone police people.
>zoomers hate on digimon because of "underage sexualization"
Wew, imagine my shock.
zoomers are absolutely terrified of any kind of sexual content
it's really bizarre
>the iphone craze
yeah, i remember that episode when it aired, and it too was dated as shit. remember the susan boyle boil joke? what you don't remember is that the episode aired months after people were done making fun of her also the "Jared from Subway" references. imagine a few months from now, family guy does an episode about tiktok and one of the tiktoks stewie watches is from the point of view of those rich guys in that submarine right as it implodes. it'd be the same shit.
Case in point,
"Rage Against The Vaccine" nevermind that vaccine/antivax hysteria is a fricking afterthought at this point
>show set in the future is already dated
that's kind of funny at least. might be the best joke to come out of this revival.
>thinks they're in a position to make a cancel culture parody
Them being linked to the industry makes them far more relevant and in a position to speak on it than some random fat chud incel schlub that browses /misc/ and Cinemaphile daily.
Projecting much? You might be fat, but not every anons is, some are fit, others are bald, some are gay, but not everyone is fat or whatever a chud is
>projecting
I just threw out a slew of meaningless commonly used insults against Cinemaphileners. The point I'm getting at is people actually in the industry, actual writers, and actual members of Hollywood have far more of a right to speak about the cancel culture going on inside of it, then the outsider perspective of fans b***hing about people they like being cancelled.
Cringe
This is Cinemaphile stupid if we were Cinemaphile we’d have threads about simps for actress’s. As for /misc/ we don’t have nearly enough threads talking about black pills.
>Its going to be Clone high revival all over again
If you can't understand why this isn't the case, you're a mentally deranged moron that lacks the mental capacity to rationalize context.
I'm pessimistic over this, but at least they might escape time loop hell. That shit was depressing.
THANK YOU
I'm still mad they treated the cast being stuck in an eternal time loop ending with being frozen in time like it was anything resembling a happy ending.
A lot of fans loved it, calling it romantic and poetic, but I hated it because it was only a happy ending for Fry and Leela and nobody else. Even then, it wasn't much of a happy ending for them because they missed out on enjoying their lives with their friends and traveling the universe. The two probably wanted children too.
This.
Some people liked that ending, I always hated the idea that the characters would be stuck in a timeloop and never able to move on.
Died at season 3
I just hope they aren't going to frick up the continuity/lore episodes like the one with the worms returning and the one with Kif's offspring because it will make it harder to pretend this revival didn't happen if it turns out to be bad.
I thought Futurama was the good one because it actually had the sense to stop and end?
Im gonna marry Bender
>crypto episode
>covid episode
>cancel culture episode
>"kino"
It's not it's new for Futurama to be topical.
In fact it's pretty common for that show.
Though also very topical episode was also one of the weakest ones, so I don't know why thye kept insisting on it
their ipod episode aged like milk though
Wasn't that the iphone episode not ipod?
probably, but they used the visuals from those old ads.
Those ads are iconic.
It still seems pretty accurate today. There's always some piece of tech that gets people to drop money blindly.
I'm ready to be disappointed.
I just want the season finale to be them finally getting married.
Just let it die, man
.
>1. The Impossible Stream
>2. Children of a Lesser Bog
>3. How the West Was 1010001

>5. Related to Items You've Viewed

>7. Rage Against the Vaccine
>8. Zapp Gets Cancelled
>9. The Prince and the Product
>10. All the Way Down
Anybody who watches this is an actual idiot, see a person with low intelligence not just a general idiot, and deserves the knee crippling disappointment that is coming to them.
>Parasites Regained
Literally the "member thing from early seasons?!" nu-Spongebob does, I wonder how many instances of callbacks to the early seasons or one off characters from said seasons coming back are on this revival
I mean it could be done right. It'd be interesting to see if the parasites effect different members of the cast differrently.
I don't mind some callbacks though. Like Children of the Lesser Bog is obviously the callback to Kiff and Amy's kids, literally 20 years later.
Have you never seen a Matt Groening cartoon?
Comic Con panel is happening RIGHT NOW!!!
I don't know of anybody who attended Comic Con...
Apparently they screened the first episode of the newest season.
so people got to see it early?
FRICK EARLY ACCESS BULLSHIT
FRICK COMICON
FRICKING REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
36 or so hours, lets go
Better have naked teens and preteens.
Yes.
I’d ship Leela with Bean if you know what I mean.
I'm hyped if this is the case.
Groening not trying to appeal to new fans is great.
Why is making jokes directed at actual existing fans always classified as a negative?
Maybe it is trying to suggest the jokes could be offensive.
>inside jokes will alienate newcomers
No shit? That's why those previous 10 seasons remain available for all those new viewers to watch.
A local critic who I usually agree with, who is also a huge fan of the show, said that Disney sent them the first six episodes and he couldn't make it past episode three. Apparently lots of jokes were just references to classic episodes and you're only supposed to laugh because you remember the original scenes. Overall he make it sound pretty depressing.
I don't mean to be a doomer, I guess between two completely opposite reviews the truth lies somewhere in between, but this feels exactly like the scenario where a high hype can lead to severe disappointment.
I'm not expecting anything great because it's 2023 and nothing is allowed to be funny anymore, but I am eagerly awaiting to hear about how the story'll progress (though for whatever reason the crew seems to be against acknowledging aging).
My good dude, that's a shill title. No one would ever write a review like that in good faith.
Why the frick would newcomers start with Season 8 or whatever the new season number is?
It's on them for not starting from the beginning.
>2010 atheist humor
It really was ahead of it's time.
On one hand I'm pretty excited for new episodes. On the other, the ending was great and tied up 99% of the loose ends in the show into a nice bow topped package to send off the series, and it would absolutely suck if the new episodes were trash and tainted the series.
Plus cartoons since then started to suck balls so I'm really praying that these new episodes are actually good.
Futurama has yet to address "the Other".
It just looks awful and not interestingly awful. Thankfully it will be forgotten quicker than the Comedy Central run.
Cant wait for my favorite show growing up to calling me an idiot for not getting vaxxed...
Why? Anything after and including Bender's Big Score doesn't even seem to have the same humor, and was up its own ass with continuity and lore. Don't quote me, because I turned it off.
How big of a disaster is it going to be? The first revival was already a mixed bag.
It's an abstract kind of feeling, being in the group of people who enjoyed the last batch of episodes and loved the finale yet also in the group of people who really, really didn't want to see any more episodes, ever. Simultaneously a dumb consoomer for Fox purists and a bitter killjoy for people who still have hopes.
its gonna be shit
Futurama shouldn’t be trying to be South Park. They’ve always been satirical about the world in general, but it was better when they didn’t center entire episodes around a specific current event.
i seriously doubt it's going to be any good, but i know better than to have expectations for something being good or bad. if their new writers are any good, chances are it'll be middling at worst.
Sorry, my shameful adult cartoon lust is Summer from Reddit & Memey now. Thanks a fricking lot, Hermitmoth.
I would still snoo snoo her all night.
Which lady?
The OG series has the perfect ending with the musical episode where Fry gets the devil's hands, I just don't class anything after as canon since they replaced the writers
