There's only two episodes that are explicitly current-event oriented.

Why is nobody talking about this one?

Because we have no faith that they will do anything good with the concept.

This looks like an episode list made in 2021 and probably the same bland comedy that comes from it too. This feels like the continuance of Animaniacs that hulu revived back in 2020. Less about the comedy, more about the "X is bad"

Why can't they just make new stuff instead of reviving series?

Frick, I take it all back I’m fine with a never ending loop, as long as this never exists.

Same. That's pretty much the only episode I care about too. Everything else is being approached with caution.

I hope Fry and Leela retain their marriage and memories of their time in frozen time.

Considering they seem to be moving into an apartment together, they could be.

That's the hope. It's just a question whether Fry and Leela are engaged, married, or friends with benefits.

Can't wait for the covid episode it'll be just as funny as the rest of the incredibly dated topical thing episodes. Appreciating the irony of a show set in the future being years behind in subject matter.

I hope they tone down on the whole "we're being topical but in the year 3023 instead of 2023" gimmick. Yeah, topical jokes are funny but they become dated quick. Some of the best Futurama episodes are timeless and dont have jokes about current events.

Yeah, a big part of why I loved classic Futurama so much is because it felt like they had genuine fun coming up with creative over the top sci-fi conflicts.

But I'm less than excited over another satire on cancel culture.

They can be but I find most of the time they aren't. Usually it is just joke I have already heard 1000 times already or a weak joke that I find myself rolling my eyes at.

I'm hoping it's more background jokes and less Rockos Modern Life netflix special tier

    No.
Some of the writers they brought on raise some red flags.
The relaunch after the movies had a few good episodes, but was mostly meh with some absolute god awful episodes.
Finally the list of episode titles alone shows it will be le topical shit.

Most of those godawful episodes were the topical ones, and they seem to be doubling down hard on that. I’m just hoping for one good episode out of this.

It adds MRNA to your cells causing them to produce a protein which is part of the covid virus. The protein is known to cause an inflammatory reaction, and the MRNA doesn't stay at the injection site like the pharma companies claimed it would; it's being found in the brain, liver, heart, all places you don't really want inflammation (Leads to cell death and tissue damage).
