>trade billions of lives for the p0ssy >become both VP and President >hang out with the cylons and frick two at the same time >then become Space Charles Manson and get laid 100x more
HAVING REJECTED HIS LOVING RACE HUMANITY, THE COWARDLY LIAR DOCTOR *handmotions* GAIUS *handmotions* BALTAR HAS FLED TO NEW CAPRICA, INTO THE ARMS OF THE ROBOTIC NUMBER SIX, PROMISING HER DOMINION OVER ALL MAN. HE WORSHIPS THEIR ONE GOD. HE BUILDS NUCLEAR WEAPONRY, LIKE A SKINJOB. HE DRINKS AND FRICKS AND SIGNS DEATH WARRANTS IN VILE TOASTER BUREAUCRACY.
I could never make up my mind whether Tigh or Baltar was my favorite character. Even when the writers ran out of plot in the last season those two were so damn good.
Did Battlestar kick-off the golden age of high-quality scripted shows from non-broadcast/non-premium cable channels? Would we have gotten shows like Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul without it?
We wouldn't have gotten BB without X-files because Vince wrote/directed the episode with Byran Cranston and we wouldn't have gotten x-files without Twin Peaks
Both of those were on broadcast networks, which have way more money to throw at their shows, hence why I also excluded premium cable channels like HBO and Showtime.
I think Lost is a more likely culprit. And you could trace it back farther to shows like Buffy the vampire Slayer which popularized the concept of adding overarching plots and character growth to an otherwise episodic series.
Also broadcast network shows.
no it was the shield
I forgot about The Shield. I never actually watched it and I honestly can't recall the last time someone mentioned it. Is it worth going back and watching?

there are shield threads on here all the time but you probably just don't recognize their OP's because they are always about the rape scene. anyway the shield is GOAT but don't watch it if you're a low t b***h

you are thinking of twin peaks, which is the gay who made Lost inspiration as well. It all goes back to tp
he killed billions...
All for some sweet toaster pussy
He he yeah who ik their right mind would do that he he
surprisingly good at acting
ya hadn't she never before? Good job
I like her breasts who is she
>her
in character: Caprica Six
actress: Tricia Helfer
she has her breasts out on photoshoots. They great.
>billions
he effectively killed over 99% of people in the universe, probably the highest ratio a non-cartoony villian ever had.
>trade billions of lives for the p0ssy

Pretty based really
my friend said i was a baltar back when we were watching this show

my friend says i'm literally rick

god damn I read it in Patrick MacNee's voice
A Traitor and a Coward.
Simultaneously the worst and best character
--of all time
Somehow true.
I like how the final episode has Baltar observing a bunch of apes and being all 'yeah, we can frick those'. Seemed fitting.
he was a kino character. I remember his name even after years even though my memory is bad and i barely remember any of the tv shows I've watched.
>The Cylons send no one...
is there a more kino opening first episode scene?
Nope. My dad insisted I watch the miniseries the night it aired and I kept refusing just because I thought the name was lame. Blew me away.
good dad
My parents refused to watch a reboot since they grew up with the original BSG.
Ten years later I finally wore them down and got them to watch it. They promptly binge watched the entire series
We're not gonna talk about fragile body of Gaius frakkin' Baltar.
I could never make up my mind whether Tigh or Baltar was my favorite character. Even when the writers ran out of plot in the last season those two were so damn good.
I really hated that they never moved Tigh beyond being a cranky alcoholic even in S3-4
so fricking stupid making him a cylon
Dude spoilers
>There are poeple in this thread that unironically believe this posh motherfricker was born in aerilon
my father was a farmer
BUTTERFINGERS during the trial is a hilarious scene and baltar in general is underrated as a comedic character in sci-fi drama
terrible normie show
picrel is the patrician's choice
why do babylongays always go into trek, bsg and stargate threads to whine about how no one watches their show?
Because it's the only one without a Blu Ray release.
…did nothing wrong.
Remind me. Does he become Jesus or something. Or is it Adam. I forget
Starbuck is Jesus. He becomes president and then becomes a cult leader with a harem.
It's a shame his career never really went anywhere. He was great as Gaius.
he was cast in game of thrones but it turns out they hired alexander siddig instead. whoops!
You have to wonder how many times a role boiled down to the two of them followed by a fricking coin flip
ya I don't get why not
Gay Ass Belter

Mad Men was probably more important to those shows specifically but BSG definitely showed you could make a genre TV show that can get broad appeal

They cited The West Wing a ton as inspiration rxsssg
BSG is most well known as a throwaway line in The Office
best line of dialog ever written
This lil homie was one the few redeeming features of Picard Season 2.
Why has no one posted fat Lee Adams yet?
