Now that I think about it, Boys season three should have been about them infiltrating supe school like they did in the comics. That plotline would have worked better than Soldier Boy as a somewhat standalone "bridge story" between season two's relatively happy ending that brought some closure while simultaneously setting up a new storyline and the inevitable plot escalation they'll have to do in season four.
It was really meh. It just feels like it doesn’t t take any advantage of its setting of a university full of people in powers or the nature of supes in The Boys universe where they are constantly competing for media attention and fame. Barely any of the student outside of the main 4. I wanted an The Boys version of Young Justice/Sky High but I got riverdale instead

The opening reminds me a lot of "The Boys" comic origin with Mothers Milk brother how it starts of with a black family, powers appearing at puberty and just that overall explosive death.
The show is kinda like a CW show, but with humor that hoes into tated R territory. So far my favorite character is the shrinking girl. Anytime I see the main character use her blood powers reminds me of an anime Deadman Wonderland. I thought before I watched the show I was going to hate the girl/guy but they're surprisingly good and cool powers (kind of a juggernaut on a smaller scale)
I mentioned CW, so Golden Boy ending was not something I expected in episode 1, a cw would definitely milk some episodes out of that character.
I'm looking forward to the puppet episode, and secretly scared of the shrinking girl dying.
Enjoyed it a lot. Also weird how they where too weirded out by her blood powers. Shit seems pretty useful when controlled. Lot less useless and dangerous as fire powers.

I was at first wondering how Vought was still around with Homelander in charge then I remembered he probably left the administrative work to Ashley and that kind of now makes her the big bad of the show, which is funny
It's pretty great how a nobody push over character turned into just the same monster as her bosses, but it's probably just a simple front for her coward self to cope through her actions
so the woods is definitely a program to make someone to kill homelander right? I'm mainly drawing this from Ashley's reaction to it possibly being revealed. Vought has already gotten flack from experimenting on children, they can handle more. the woods being an anti-homelander scheme would be a dangerous gambit, that if revealed would cause homelander to go ballistic.
I also find it weird that golden boy managed to kill himself with his powers, it feels like maybe they're unstable from experimentation. also the poster literally has a beheaded homelander statue.
I assume his brother might have some kind of telepathy, that or golden boy has been there, only time will tell.
So he didn't appear yet? They made this whole ass ordeal about him returning, watch it be some shitty flashback or something. Also does the Girl who explodes shit (Cherry I think?, zapped by stromfront) From season2 make an appearance?
he has not appeared yet, no. his statue has appeared and it is vandalized. I do believe he's going to be there for a flashback (perhaps talking to the founder of the university, as it was started when he was active). I also don't recall them making a big deal about him appearing either. telekinetic lady hasn't made an appearance yet, if at all.
A lot of this show feels like X-men. The kids who have powers were given compound V by their parents as babies, so some of the powers dur take a toll on their body. A lot of the characters I thought I wasn't going to like do make me like them by the end.

Man these frickers look haggard for college students. I get casting 30+ year olds for college kids is typical, but Cricket should be cute and tinkerbell-like but her breasts just look sad.
