This revive this classic already, if Fairly odd parents can get a that's good so can Dexter, Candi Milo still around, she can still do the voice too.

He did with the Chicken Scratch short and it truly sucked ass.
He also wrote and directed the last episode of Savino's run, so chalk that up to another show he made a lame finale for.
A lot of Savino's season episodes where taken from the comic which was already a bunch of scrapped ideas from the show. What I'm trying to say is that original creator or not they where running out of steam by that point.
You're right. Also, some plots in Season 4 were literally the same as earlier seasons. Like "Dexter wants to be taller" or "Dexter has fun like Dee Dee".
If he had a good idea for an episode he should just make a one off like
said, rather than being forced to make 35 stories to fill a season order.
I always thought that the episode where Mandark and Dexter combined their labs was supposed to be the intended series finale since it was the last episode produced, just not the last one aired.
I like to think that episode took place a little while before Ego Trip.
Weird, I always thought the finale was that episode where they fight axe-face Godzilla in Japan and Dexter reveals his secret to his parents.
That was Genndy's original finale before Savino took over.
Frick.
It was perfect closure for the show.
First 2 seasons are good, and there are some fun episodes in the savino run, but the show got tired. I don’t know what else they could do they haven’t done early on.
>I don’t know what else they could do they haven’t done early on.
Lets talk about the side shows, For me Monkey was better that Dexter
You almost really hate Dexter don't y'all
I like Dexter, I just like the others more
You can say the same thing about Powerpuff
I'd argue that PPG was good for 4 seasons before falling off, personally.
I honestly thought Chicken Scratch was fun for what It was. I get that it might have been too gross for some, but it was really well animated and had some great jokes as well. Was also one of the few times the redesigns actually worked.

No! We need something new from him, not some novelty reboot.
The Powerpuff gets rebooted a million times why can't it Dexter WAHWAHWAHWAH
Genndy already said no. Frick off!!
>No! We need something new from him
I would agree with you but then he made Unicorn Warriors Eternal.
Why do we need a new series? Why can't we just have new 7 or 11 minute shorts of classic IPs pop back every now and then? Just make a fun Dexter's Lab episode if you're feeling it and make another one a few years later if interested.
That's kind of what they do with Aqua Teen. Long breaks with short seasons inbetween. Last season was only 5 11 minute episodes.
With the IPs Cartoon Network has there's no reason why it can't be done, vs a 60 episode order of a PPG reboot that didn't work well.
How did they got away with this?
Just Cruella daville
We speak English on this board.
Wi du?
I wanted to ask this question in a previous thread but I couldn't put my thoughts into words. What is exactly Dexter's laboratory? I'm mean is it just about Dexter and DeeDee having science hi jinks or is there something more? I think the early seasons of Dexter could be better described as a variety show, you had the Dexter's shorts sure, but also Monkey and Justice friends, thing is unlike other show that had some light continuity with other shows or segments, Like cow and chicken, all the segment in Dexter kept crossing with each other, Puppet Pals was both a show DeeDee and Krunk watched, Monkey was Dexter's pet, he also hang around with the Justice Friends and Major Glory showed up in Dexter stories more that once. There was a synergy between all the segments, So in that sense Dexter's Laboratory was just a part of a whole. On top of that the Dexter segment weren't always just about the lab or science misadventures, you had out of there concepts like DeeDee solo adventures with her imaginary friend or fighting ninja, also there where shorts that only lasted a minute or two and where just a simple setup and punch line.
My point is that the format was less a show and more a variety show with Dexter's lab being just one of the segments. And I think that is why at least partially the later season suffered from a decline in quality, they forgot to bring the rest of the gang back, Kind of like the Animaniacs reboot.
>variety show
wasn’t that hugely common with the og HB cartoons?
Where they would play different segments of different shows?
Yes and no, Cow and Chicken and I am Weasel have the same kind of humor, Dexter, Monkey and Justice Friend where more different from each other..
What the what? Which episode was that?
Johnny Test is just as good.
The only show with full frontal female nudity
Good thing I won't have to make a thread about this: Who financed him?
NASA did at least im the beginning. Once he had a critical mass of robots, he probably didn't need money anymore since they could get all the materials and make all the power he needed
frick genndy he ruined primal
But it started out awesome, sure the ending didn't stick the landing but the takeoff was sure nice
