He's giving them ideas/"enlightenment", I seriously doubt he's writing anything towards it. Basically just plotting out the show bible with them so they can do all the work.
He's never finishing ASOIAF no matter what though.

He's a producer on HOTD, and always wanted to write movie scripts. You can bet your ass he sits there as much as possible.

do people actually care about this? I already forgot this was a thing and loved HBO's GOT. The last 2 seasons completely killed my interest though.

The show obviously had to deal with the fallout from one of the biggest bombed finales in TV history- regardless of how good it was it was always only going to get a sliver of GoT's viewers since the rest still had the bad taste of S8 in their mouths.
If they can put out as decent a season as the first one if not a little better, viewer count will probably tick up significantly as fans drift back into it. Probably won't ever get back to GoT levels, but I can see the potential in the show to get their numbers getting back up to a respectable level as long as they don't shit the bed (all the nogs are set to die this season probably except Corlys so that's another point in their favor also.)

It's really good because it's GOT without all the baggage of the last 2 GOT season.

My main gripe with it (and i know i will get shit for this) is that the Dragons are a boring plot device.
I liked GoT more when dragons weren't on the table and a literal hack to win at RISK.

          >I liked GoT more when dragons weren't on the table and a literal hack to win at RISK.
It's supposed to be less of an issue since both sides have dragons, leaving them more evenly matched rather than the wafflestomp Daenerys had with every battle in GoT

One side has a huge war dragon though, the blacks could only take kings landing while Aemond was gone.

And the other side has more skilled Dragon Riders, hence why the whole war ends in a stalemate effectively

he's afraid what people would think of his writting, so he won't publish books(if he wrote anything at all) until he dies

    >and die before finishing winds isn’t he
He was never going to finish it. The series was planned with a multi-year time skip, and when George nixed that his plans were hopelessly scrambled. Also, if he botched the landing then he'd lose what modest reverence he still invites. Better to be an eternal "What if...?" rather than end on a sour note.

I don't see him releasing ADOS but I do think he'll finish TWOW barring he doesn't have a pizza party induced heart attack/stroke in the next 5 years
