No it didn't, not in the way you mean. It took that long from concept to final product, it didn't take that long to animate. It took about the same time to animate that it's taking for season 2
It may have taken slightly less time to animate season 2. I'm sure they have a bigger budget for season 2 given the success of season 1. They might be able to hire a few more animators and get it done in 10% less time or something (with the same or higher number of man hours).
Yes I assume it would take a little less time to animate season 2 that's why I said around the same time. You'd think now that Fortiche have already done it once things will be at least a little more streamlined even without hiring any more hands. Although who knows if they're allowed to experiment and push the animation a little further with new techniques. They are artists afterall they're not just a robotic factory producing animation they'll want to be trying something new always
