Black Spider-Man and troony flags, to mention a few things. This board has cried about wokeness for far less than that.

I wouldn’t say I hated it but I very much disliked the first half of it and I certainly thought it was worse than the first. I still think it was good however.

haven't seen this one, liked the first one, (politics of it don't bother me), but i am DEEPLY annoyed how hard these two movies are jerked off. these are cartoons, for frick's sake -- cool-looking, fun cartoons, but cartoons nonetheless, with no real substance to them. that's not to say animation can't and shouldn't be taken seriously (e.g. Miyazaki), but this definitely isn't one that should be. franchises have effectively lobotomised the collective consciousness of the movie-going public

It's extremely woke, he's parading around with Peter Parker's dead gf and he's paired with her because the character was made by a filthy disgusting oven dodging israelite

Dude, they keep having completely forced "spider minorities are so heck-in' valid!" scenes, in ways that don't advance the plot or really even make sense. There is *tangible* discomfort that white male Peter Parker is central Spider-Man, why?. Which is a shame, I don't dislike Miles but I did not like this movie. The previous one had more soul, with the spider alts. The focus of this movie seems to be that everyone is Spider-Man, which cheapens the stakes to the point of there not being any. If you loved it, good on you. I thought it was very disappointing and pointlessly woke.

it's even worse when you consider inflation. way less people bought tickets for Miles than they did for Peter

The story was a stereotypical superhero movie. The artwork is nice. I think it's above average, slightly. Normies just love consuming slop. They don't think about art. That's why they just consoom. They need to have their minds sustained with stuff to keep them busy. It doesn't matter what.

I don't know what you're on about, OP. Even the panderverse episode makes a note that Miles is cool. He's his own character that exists alongside classic Peter Parker without needing to demean him.

I just had no desire to see it. I don't hate Miles even though you can feel that they want to replace Peter so bad with him it's hilarious. Insomniac is flung just that so we'll see how that goes, but to be honest I just don't care about superhero films/series unless it's Batman or Superman or Supergirl. I'm just sick of Marvel in general. I show up for Supeman Legacy and The Batman, but there's nothing else currently out or on the horizon I give a shit about.

These are the lowest grossing Spiderman movies worldwide - doing worse than Raimi's 20 year old films (which had a far smaller international markets) and even the Andrew Garfield ones, which did so poorly Sony killed off their whole planned universe two movies in. That's before even accounting for inflation or the amount of higher price premium formats that didn't exist back then.

The success of the Spiderverse duo is predominantly due to the United States being a Blackphilic country. Adjusted for inflation, neither has outgrossed Big Hero 6, a movie Disney's tried to turn into a franchise to very limited success. Spiderverse and Miles are more popular with terminally online black worshippers than the actual general audience.

You saw the same thing play out with that racist israelite's ugly April Ninja Turtles movie. Based on the amount of online spam these two had, you'd think they were the highest grossing animated movies of the year. TMNT was outgrossed by a Paw Patrol movie produced for literally a fraction of its budget.

there's a difference between shoving INSINCERE nonsense no one wants in the background or fricking around with the sense of story, character, action and reaction, in order to earn ESG points desperately because you pollute at all your fricked up theme parks, use child slaves in your production line to manufacture toy garbage, and have a management board of 99% old white men
    compared to
a bunch of limp wristed, naive, pathetic, internally victimized, progressive (pro capitalist) liberals that just want everyone to get along and are too dumb to understand nuance.
The first is called 'executive meddling' and kills storytelling, the second is just cosmopolitan sensitivity which we have always had in good and bad stories of yore so why would it be different today?
