I've been an OP fan for twenty years and I'm honestly fascinated by the show, like there's no better word for it. There's no way they make One Piece in real life without entering the uncanny valley. It's like with Lion King or other anime, where the character designs and expressions are fine in their animated format but it's completely out of sync if some person decided to copy that IRL.
It's why FF and KH character designs with unrealistic hair colors like blue or pink, weird hairstyles and their strange fashion can look appealing in the video game but every cosplay of it by real people always seems off and how just unnatural and wrong those hair colors, hairstyles and fashion can be.
