Some super autistic dude interviewed Alex Hirsch with an autistic girl and they ended up asking really specific weird questions he had no answers to. The girl also ends up literally yelling timeline things at Alex to which he is completely overwhelmed by and he does a really good job being nice about it but holy shit this was painful.
Listened to this, that Hana "They/them" is is completely self-absorbed and wants it to be all about her.
Why do we care it’s some Mabel self inserting troon autist being a narcissist this isn’t anything new
Skimming through this, why do they spend so much time on random things about fricking books
Did he really ask Alex about the fricking special edition journal numbers? Is this what autism is?
You know how people say never meet your heroes?
Never meet your fans, 50-50% chance that you can never be sure if it's just some autismo or some grifter.
There is no alternative btw. It's 50% autismo 50% money funneler.
The guy wasn't as bad, but focusing on the fricking number of special edition books was really a weird fricking thing. Alex wasn't the one who printed those.
The girl is just fricking atrocious. Alex was being so nice. She fricking dared to say the show had bad representation for women and said Wendy "could have done more"
b***h one of the fricking main characters was a girl who had SEVERAL episodes devoted to her.
It's a show for children, it's so embarrasing when adults obsess over a cartoon for kids
Wendy was great specifically because she was chill and didn't get much focus. Last Mabelcorn "WE'RE WOMEN AND WE TAKE WHAT WE WANT" *punches tree* is what happens when people try to give screentime to women in cartoons.
>Hana Hyperfixates
Always avoid people who proudly wear their autism/mental issues on their sleeve.
Alex deserves this.
I'm hesitant to say anyone deserves this. I feel bad for any show creator who has to sit and listen to an autistic girl scream at them about a timeline for their show.
>I envision this to be a vague summer, even though it is 2013, I wanted it to be more neublous
>WELL WELL WELL WELL IT IS 2013 BECAUSE BECAUSE BECAUSE BECAUSE BECAUSE
jesus fricking CHRIST
These people suck but Hirsch deserves it for being a self righteous gay
he mentions he has ideas for stan and ford and these autistic weirdos dont even pick up on it or ask more or talk about it
what dumbfricks
When I was at a con I saw some voice actors subjected to these types of people, and it's always awful.
There was an AT panel where Pen Ward was present. He and the crew took questions after a reading and one girl asked Pen if she could have voice acting job on the show. He stared at her like broken computer.
Con panels can be a blessing, and they can be a curse.
This is why I never watch con videos, there's just always too much second hand embarrassment. I don't watch any live shit though, remember when Jasmine fell and crashed her head through a wall at Disney? Shit just goes wrong too much and it's painfully awkward and shit like that lingers too much in my head.
>1 hour long
Give timestamps or frick off
It's labelled on the video, but try around 50:00. 48:35 is when the aspie timeline stuff starts. And the 2013 comment is like 52 to 54 mins or something around there.
Honestly, anyone who still tries to squeeze out any new Gravity Falls vids almost a decade after the show ended weirds me out. The odd retrospective here and there is fine, but some people REALLY grow attached to certain shows and can't seem to shake off that hyperfixation. The interviewers would probably foam at the mouth if a GF continuation were to ever happen, but I'd rather Hirsch close the door on the franchise after the Bill book and move on to new projects.
This drawing they did was nice though
Like Dipcidica it's a nice ship. It's cute and valid for reasons.
But at what point do you realize you said all you can say about the ship. The shipping art is cute.
He needs to show them kiss on screen for it to be completed IMO. Even some weird "short" on YouTube.
>but I'd rather Hirsch close the door on the franchise after the Bill book and move on to new projects.
This. But people can't let things go sometimes. That one cool movie doesn't always need a sequel. My personal anecdote is that the maximum amount of potentially enjoyable sequels for an IP is a trilogy series. Anything that comes after without starting a new continuity WILL ALWAYS be hot garbage
I feel the same way. And if your sequel comes out over a decade later, then I'm not as interested. Put all your eggs in that basket at the start. I don't need a Steven Universe revival.
Now is not really a good time to start new projects. Look at inside job. Or creators in general getting new shows turned down.
The girls behavior and comments are completely disrespectful and she really comes off like an insufferable person to be around. She took her chance to talk to Alex and just went off on him about timelines and female representation. This was really bad and I'm sure Alex will think twice about doing anything like this again
That lady is completely unhinged. Gigging, cackling and talking over him.
What about the guy who talked to him?
Not really annoying, like Hana, just a idiot autist.
The guy is oddly obsessed with one minor minor minor character and the special edition of journal 3. Like he's just as autistic, but not rude.
Never give an interview Matt.
Cringe
Did they ask him why Mabel is such a b***h? Was it an accident?
