Is this game any good? I don't want to play a movie.
I played it in 2020 and again this year and it's been my GOTY for both years.
I just got it for the first time this week and I've been a bit disappointed. Graphics aren't as impressive as I thought they'd be, environments are amazing but characters aren't amazing, even the lip syncing is a bit off. And the combat is pretty basic. Decent stuff so far but the writing isn't particularly amazing either.

It's the same old AAA 6/10 that just gets shoved down your throat.
It's like Assassin's Creed, but made right for the first time ever. Even the side-quests are actual quests with their own stories, not some cookie-cutter bullshit. The DLC (Iki Island) is also really good. And they even added free multiplayer mode that doesn't suck. Yeah, I can recommend it.

It's largely overrated, it's Assassins Creed/Far cry in Feudal Japan loads of map icons with the same chores to do instead of tower climbing you're mountain climbing (sorta)
It's good. The sidestuff repeats too much and to level up everything you have to do it, for the mainstory only you don't have to do it. It looks good because of its art direction, but from a technical standpoint it is just okay.
The story is great. It has some woke stuff like an old lesbian b***h, but overall the mongols are the bad guys and you kick them from the island, violence is the answer.
Depends how much you like samurai shit. I love it, but also dislike assassins creed formula, so I made it half way before dropping it, not because I disliked it, but the motivation to pick it up again after a week off was gone.
