They should just sell this shit to disney already (do they already own it?)
Turn it into a Hulu/D+ show and the people obsessed with it will eat it up hook line and sinker

This shit was out in theaters before Godzilla X Kong, the Studio's cut of the theatrical gross drops every week. This is a definite flop.

I love how people just say shit on the Internet because they think it might be true without providing any evidence to support their claim. kinda like how you're a giant homosexual who takes three wieners up the ass while crossdressing as the rabbit from zootopia.

When a movie you like makes $100m, it's a megahit and "we are winning!" When a movie you don't like makes $500m, it's a woke flop, because budget or something

The film is primarily used to sell merchs/ to retain the IP right. Every dollar made is a success

It's weird how Ghostbusters is one decent 80's comedy movie with the SNL cast of the time dicking around and they've been trying to make it a franchise ever since and NOTHING has worked

Depends on why you like Ghostbusters. Is it solely because of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Harold Ramis being comedic legends or are you genuinely interested in the subject matter/premise? For people who are only there for the laughs, nothing will ever top the first movie. it's a perfect comedy. but if you're into the premise, there's a lot that can be done but it means doing your own thing and not worrying about what the original cast is up to in-universe. I think these modern movies would've been better served by following a franchisee trying to build a business than a family drama.

If its not almost entirely about the OGs im not really interested. Legacy characters passing the torch off to younger actors has literally never worked and never will

They blew it when they decided to make this series into a le epic nostalgic young adult blockbuster. They had it half right in 2016 but they should have cast male comedians/comedic actors and made it a sequel rather than a reboot. And they should have used a different writer/director.

The script seems like a clash between Jason Reitman wanting to make another Phoebe movie and Aykrod making his poltergeist movie
