Oh yeah, I've seen this. It's pathetic but it's REALLY nothing new. People who are only now pissed by this haven't been paying attention. The franchise owners have ALWAYS been breaking Lara in this direction, since the very first ever reboots or adaptations. The original Classic Lara is too politically incorrect for who and "what" she is.

No. This shit started all the way back with the Jolie movies, which introduced this different set of values for Lara. Then there was an even heavier dose in the first reboot (Legend-Anniversary-Underworld). The 2013 reboot's timeline is not the first reboot, but in that timeline they doubled down even more.
