I feel like the Lich scene is the nightmare of any religious person
I must admit muslim prayers sound pretty cool, you actually feel like you are talking to a massively powerful being not just a friend.

So what's with Golb's other tetris blocks?
My immediate thought was that they were previous Liches who managed to reach Golb but were turned into blocks too (for some unknown reason).
It fits with the fact all the tetris blocks are the same color that is usually associated with the Lich, though you could argue that color is also associated with the original Golb.
