God damn, this show is hard to follow. Watched the movies over the week and I'm still reeling. I was expecting something akin to Turn-A which I really like, but it somehow was even more breakneck.
So many shifting allegiances and motivations and shit happening so fast entire days go by between cuts sometimes.
Really liked the designs, though. Especially Klim's suits. Cool dude.
>Watched the movies over the week and I'm still reeling
see, that's your problem. What you SHOULD do is watch one movie and then go on a 10 years long introspective journey. Repeat for the rest. Get back in 50 years and don't tell us anything, instead tell us to see for ourselves.
The thumbnail for a minute had me thinking this was going to be about Seed Destiny.
Goddamned red backpacks on blue gundams.
>God damn, this show is hard to follow
Ahahahahahahaha!
Never fails, innit?
Was she fricking everybody on that ship? Why did she kiss the other pilots when they were sortying, and what's with the passing comments from the captain?
It was the mommy ship
She followed in the steps of great women from Tomino's past
I'm surprised how tamed the girls in this are. None of them made me want to punch a desk. Even Manny was fine.
Maybe you've just moved past the angry teenager part of your life.
Yeah, the designs are great but the story made me think Tomino was going senile.
He was and still is. People in Japan had to come out and tell him it was frustrating to follow because a dozen confusing or distracting things happen every few seconds constantly in the early episodes. The pacing/coherency is absolutely absurd and is only indicative of why the genre is further difficult for newer viewers to get into.
Tomino himself admitted there was issues. It's why he redid some things with the movie, which he considers the more proper way + he fixed things he disliked himself too like Bellri ending alone.
Tomino thinks basically everything he's ever done is garbage. It doesn't really reflect accurately on whether or not it is.
Yeah 10 from now he'll say Greco is his favorite work and relevant nowadays because A is like B and X is like Y. morons take those interviews way too fricking seriously.
>Klim
I'm still baffled he pretty much 9/11'd his father the president and everyone just went along with it
> somehow was even more breakneck.
Turn A isn’t even a fast show? If anything most people complain because of how slow it is.
If you think the movies are bad, you should have tried to watch the series as it came out. Binging it might not be so bad, but waiting a week between episodes and trying to remember what the frick is going on made it seem even more incoherent. Literally the only Gundam i've ever dropped.

In the same boat - never went back to it so idk if it ever ended up being good.
G-Reco is definitely one if those shows you have to fully engage with or else you just get left behind. I recently watched Overman King Gainer and I felt the same way to a lesser extent. You really have to flow with Tomino's very unconventional way of storytelling and worldbuilding.
it's kinda fascinating people find characters just being realistically quirky as incomprehensible
Reality feels unreal when you're not a part of it.
>americans watching non-american media
even Bellri himself is confused
