Saw it Dolby 4k. Some noise reduction but over all an excellent transfer. Funny you say, the only shot that looked oddly fuzzy was that one wide shot of the ship after it emerged from that water.
I really liked both Avatar movies. They both are fun beautiful films with a plot that is just deep enough to carry a story. Not everything needs to be an engrossing well-written plot, sometimes a simple adventure is itself fun. I really do not understand criticisms of this film as though it is not deep enough or incredibly well-written when it never tries to be.
The first one is plenty deep and very well written. It's a great movie, fun adventure and very entertaining. It doesn't matter if something similar has 'le been done before'. All movies have been done before at this point. The sequel has some issues but was still great and a reason to want to go to the theater unlike most that's being made right now.
