Give me an example of a live action comedy series that came after it thats better. Only thing that makes me laugh consistently nowdays is binge watching Seinfeld.
I've been rewatching The Soup and it's cool that Joel McHale kept doing that show while Community was on. I forgot that I definitely got into Community because I was already watching The Soup.
Why by today's standards it's an absolute masterclass. First two season are really good. It just gets progressively worse after that but it's watchable until the end

Especially when one watches season 3, and the characters are not some silly guys but declared as pure monsters. At that point one can't even go back and rewatch, because one doesn't see silly guys with their difficult but characters created out of pure hate.
Today we are better at recognizing self-hate so now a new viewer would probably dislike the show from the very beginning
