>Kong leads a lonely life as the king of the Hollow Earth until he encounters an ancient tribe of red apes led by the Scar King.
>In pre-historic times, the Scar King attempted to conquer the world, but he and his followers were defeated by Godzilla and imprisoned in the Hollow Earth.
>The Scar King commands the First Titan, a crystalline reptilian with a powerful freezing breath who once unleashed the Ice Age.
>The Scar King sends a beacon to revive the First Titan, which also awakens Godzilla from hibernation and causes Jia, the sole survivor of the Iwi tribe from Skull Island, to begin having apocalyptic visions.
>Jia and her adoptive mother Dr. Ilene Andrews, played by Rebecca Hall, set out investigate the beacon, aided by Ilene’s ex-boyfriend, a flamboyant Monarch medic specialized in treating injured Titans played by Dan Stevens.
>Meanwhile, Kong bonds with young red ape Suko, and learns that the red apes were once protected the world before the Scar King was corrupted by power and usurped his brothers to become a tyrant.
>Godzilla and Kong ultimately join forces to prevent the Scar King and the First Titan from “freezing the world,” and even get cybernetic enhancements from Monarch to fight their new enemies.
>The Scar King has his own weapon to counter Kong’s atomic axe: A bone spine with one of the First Titan’s crystals at the tip, which he wields like a whip and carries over his shoulder like a bandolier.
>New Titans include a spider-like Titan that Godzilla fights early in the film, and a pack of jackal-like Titans that Kong fights early in the film.
TL;DR It’s Godzilla and Kong vs. evil ice Godzilla and evil red Kong.

Why not Destroy All Monsters?
They don't want to pay for the cool monsters
there are no cool monsters. mothra and ghidora are fricking gay and stupid.
It sounds pretty cool until Godzilla and Kong gets cybernetic upgrades
They're not paying extra money for monsters that won't make them a buck when they can make their own. Godzilla fans are completely irrelevant, it's the mainstream audiences they're after.
No Millie no watch
but Millie is in
in deepfake porn!
Based. I'll still watch, but I'll be disappointed by the lack of Millie for sure
Her and her family plot was the worst part of that movie.
You might enjoy this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14YuVCpOl0XCXTfw09qId87zM6YYF_jFu/edit
Actually the opposite. Her shitty character really discourages me from watching the movies
I liked her a lot but she was wasted in GvK. The novelization for KOTM hinted that she had some kind of psychic connection to the monsters, or at least Mothra. I would have liked to see that become canon and expanded on, make her like an American version of Miki, only one that actually does something.
But maybe since the actress already plays a psychic on another show they thought that was to on the nose. Too bad.
They don't want her back. The human cast can e rotated in these movies. Godzilla now seriously needs new supporters like Serizawa.
They can, but I don't think they should be. People criticize Heisei a lot, and some of the movies are stinkers for sure but I always liked how Miki Saegusa kind of provided some continuity between each of them, even if she was only there just to be there. I would have liked to see them do that with MBB for these movies, especially because she was the biggest cheerleader for Goji in the last one, and now I don't know who they're going to get for that role. If anyone. Probably nobody because this is gradually turning into a Kong franchise and not a Godzilla one.
Heiseigays with the dogshit ideas again.
Heisei is the plebfilter. And the people who b***h about it are just doing so because they got filtered. Get some taste.
I don't think there's a single person who watched these movies and likes her character
>I don't think there's a single person who watched these movies and likes her character
>posted seconds after somebody says they like her character
I don't know why but that kind of shit on Cinemaphile always cracks me up. It's like it was done on purpose.
I actually really liked her in kotm even if the movie was shit, but then I really hated her in gvk which also was shit.
this sounds fricking moronic
It doesn't need much, just have giant monsters fighting.
That's real dumb. I'll watch it.
I just hope the fight scenes arent so fricking dark you can't see shit. Godzilla vs Kong fight scenes was the way to do it
Sounds kino. I honestly loved godzilla vs Kong.
Spoiler alert : The ending
> Scar king gets defeated, starts a job at a brewery, until gets inebriated , starts flinging beer barrels left and right, names himself Donkey Kong
>Godzilla moves to Japan where he starts in cheap, college indie movies
> Kong and Suko move to rural Bulgaria where they open a bed and breakfast, get voted least hairy in entire village
> First titan gets addicted to internet porn. Spends most of his days in his mom's basement jerking off to rule 34 of Godzilla in a french maid outfit
Isnt hollow earth technically the earth's basement?
This is the dumbest thing I ever read. I hope its true and has a 1 billion dollar budget
Why? Sounds like the basic b***h plot all these films have
about time the kino returns
if they knew what they were doing, this would’ve been the monsterverse
Godzilla
Kong: Skull Island
Godzilla: King of the Monsters
Godzilla vs. Kong
Gamera
Kong
Ultraman
Destroy All Monsters
Godzilla vs. Destroyer (Destoroyah)
i don’t think we needed another G/K movie
What the frick is Kong supposed to be in this.
Skull Island wasn't the first Kong movie? Was he not central?
Kong
>i don’t think we needed another G/K movie
Godzilla is only on the bill because no one wants to see a Kong movie.
If they knew what they are DOING, they'd make the next one Godzilla & Kong vs the Big Beautiful Titans. But no
Just hand me the directing rights frick
who's the fish looking one
Big lips means it's a monster from the Ultra series.
Berserk has really gone off the rails without miura
WGA strike leaks?
Frick kong. That Black person can't carry a franchise on his own. I wish Toho had the pride to deny them the use of the Godzilla license to prop up this fricking garbage character.
>and even get cybernetic enhancements from Monarch to fight their new enemies.
goddamn frick these hacks.
Godzilla and Kong vs evil ice Godzilla and evil Lanky Kong? Sounds like kino to me.
>another chimp movie
When does our boy Jet Jaguar get justice
somehow these movies keep getting stupider
>The King has an evil uncle named Scar who wants to usurp his throne
wait what happened in the last episode all i remember is kong being in the center of the planet what happened to the lizard
he sleep
Humans don't always know what he's up to but he's got his own life and he's doing far more than just sleep waiting for some impulse like he
I have a few villain ideas for future movies:
>Mecha Kong
>Alien Godzilla
>Kong-Godzilla hybrid
>Kong riding Godzilla
>Kong wearing Godzilla skin
>Godzilla in a Kong mecha
>Alien Godzilla
Can't be used, they won't license him.
Goddamn Space Godzilla was so fricking cool
Nothing new those are just leaks from Mr. H except he also said that we'll finally see some more of Godzilla doing his work and helping others so there's at least hope it won't be a total waste.
Imagine the stress of living in this world. One day you're eating pizza in your apartment and a giant mythical lizard from the prehistoric era rolls up
Oh boy I'm sure glad it's a monkey and a crystalgay instead of one of the classic monsters.
>diablo zilla
No thanks
Yeah because not!kong and not!spacezilla are so much better. Fricking Black person.
>classic monster
>posts a Heisei era shitter who isn't even 30 years old
There's nothing wrong with making new monsters, any more then there was when they made Destoroyah.
Sure if they can make a cool one but I don't believe they have the creative capacity to do so. The only thing monsterverse is really good for is fanservice which Destoroyah would be perfect for since he is iconic and the most powerful Godzilla villain.
>he is iconic
Only known by 90s kids who watched Godzillla movies.
>the most powerful Godzilla villain.
Absolutely not.
>Only known by 90s kids who watched Godzillla movies.
So about as popular as any of the strong Kaiju we haven't seen yet.
>Absolutely not.
He's the only monster to survive the red blast not only once but multiple times and is one of the few monsters to actually cut through Godzilla's hide. The only one who could maybe stand against him is Hodorah but he lacks the physical prowess.
They should give Godzilla a bunch of superpowers and call him Indominuszilla
>le devilman kaiju
>>The Scar King commands the First Titan, a crystalline reptilian with a powerful freezing breath who once unleashed the Ice Age.
i wish we had a conceptual art for this lil homie, looks cool
Here's a tease for it from the COD tie-in.
Thanks to those behind the scenes info from cave paintings and concept art we know more details regarding the past events.
-Godzilla species lived in groups/families
-Rodan helped Godzilla and Mothra fight King Ghidorah the first time he appeared
-Godzilla and Mothra together banished the kong species to Skull Island
Kong learning that his new friends are the ones who were the architects of a his pain (even if it was before he was born and to save the world). He's realy just aong for the ride as everything is outside of his control. Even the synopsis doesn't let him catch a break giving him once again some sappy sad scenes.
It’s roughy being a monkey……also I imagine in pic related they are playing just like heaven.
Rodan a two faced israelite
The first titan is named Shimu by the way. It's good to have someone with freezing powers in a Godzilla universe I guess. And I'm glad the ape is not the final villain.
2v2 royal rumble sounds kino, hop[e they have a "lets swap" moment
Godzilla swapping to his old enemy Scar Kong and stomping him could be fun, but I wonder how Kong would handle ice Godzilla.
Ignoring for the moment the logic of having to explain how Kong is supposed to be just as capable as Godzilla all of a sudden if we get 2v2 they wil probably keep switching opponents likein Godzilla vs. Gigan.
>crystalline reptilian with a powerful freezing breath
So that lizard from the beginning of dark souls iii
>godzillaxkong
>it isn't sex fanfic
If it had any kind of unironic support we wouldn't be able to escape it.
this sounds so fricking dumb, did you make this with chatgpt? lol
No Jet Jaguar?
No Anguirus?
No King Caesar?
No Biollante?
No Destroyah?
No Gigan?
The frick are you even doing?
>The frick are you even doing?
Using the Godzilla IP to try to build their own franchise that no one would give a shit about without Godzilla.
Others will come. Stil no info if anyone else will reappear other than Godzilla and Kong. I think they should use at least one more Toho character to serve as the villain I don't mind original characters. There's still plenty of Toho material in these movies, Godzilla is the backbone that made everything possible. There's very little Kong lore.
King of the Monsters was good but they overdid it, too many monsters so little screentime
>too many monsters so little screentime
And way too much of the kaiju obscured or shot close up. YOU NEED WIDE SHOTS IN A KAIJU MOVIE SHOW THE FRICKING KAIJU AND THE FIGHTS YOU LAZY CHEAP BASTARDS.
>leaks
As if these movies ever have more than enough plot to set up "monke makes boom".
>and even get cybernetic enhancements from Monarch to fight their new enemies.
>It's armor and weapons stripped from Prototype Jeager mechs.
>I'm Team Kong
Sounds okay.
I wish we got Destroyah but okay.
The last movie was so dumb, they killed all the other monsters offscreen so now the sequel to Godzilla v Kong is Godzilla x Kong.
They killed who exactly?
my hopes and dreams.
They killed no monsters offscreen.
In the prequel that uses cut or unfilmed scenes from GVK Godzilla goes out of his way not to kill any of his monsters. The only exception he makes is for the intruder from the Hollow Earth and the leaks make is sound like they're going to re-adapt this scene.
Where's Mothra?
Told you this multiverse thing is a really bad idea.
Last seen being a ghost I guess. It's difficult to say at what point her souls enters the egg but I'm glad they make sure she's taking her time because she needs to be bigger and stronger next time.
This is propaganda.
nice trips
Imagine if they just made a 2 and a half hour film of no humans, just pure monster kino. No dialogue, just raws
see
>watching a giant monster movie for the human characters
Yes.
and the other 20 movies?
Also yes.
yes.
Yes.
Godzilla movies having bad human storylines is more of a Legendary thing than an overall franchise thing.
I don't understand you newbies who say this. Why would you excuse 3/4 of the movie being total shit? You know you can just have the whole thing be good right?
first for spacegodzilla
He's so cool...
Other than having canonically genius level IQ he has the potential of being the best evil counterpart to Godzilla as he's a bit more than just chaos personified like most Godzilla villains.
Okay, I've had enough monke, thank you.
Back to Godzilla, please. Maybe some Anguirus and Titanosaurus, please?
Why does the monkey have whiteface?
Enter Jobzilla
Love the part where he's being use to mop the floor with.
When's the actual chad showing up?
I was going to say "probably never" but then I remembered how popular he actually is in the west.
The best thing they could do is take the Fast route and just get crazier and crazier each time.
The world already doesn't make much sense so let's get galactic
I rewatched the 2014 film and its better than I remember. I actually thought the MUTO was cool as frick when it was travelling and using its lazor. Dumb human shit with getting rid of hal though, if you're gonna have such a human sidestory just why
Damn he DO be lookin kinda thicc tho
thiccc
If it's shoot the shit part of the thread I'm going to bed.
>when she's pigeon-breasted but got those hybrid breeding hips
Everyone knows pear shaped women are top tier.
me in the top back left
A Butternut Squash?
Godzilla having complex ties and interactions with fellow monsters > Kong having them with some humans
It's a monster franchise built around treating monsters like actual characters with their own POV. Sure humans and monsters can interact and Godzilla should have more scenes like that too but I'm more interested in him dealing with the matters of his kind other than just fighting. Of course it's still mostly fighting. He's not a loner not by choice.
Anguirus would've been better for that but I'll take what we have.
Like that. Better than that cartoon Kong.
>Godzilla having complex ties and interactions with fellow monsters
The most kino moment in the series is when Godzilla, Rodan, and Mothra have a conversation in Ghidorah, the Three Headed Monster.
This is what Dougherty cited as his inspiration and I also think it's a very special scene and extremely revolutionary and unique. I'm going to read a book by a Godzilla/film historian who seems to hate so I hope it won't be that painful because I just wanted to buy more Godzilla books.
>I hope it won't be that painful
>extremely revolutionary and unique.
It was a very interesting move for the time. It's when the kaiju really started getting treated almost as "people".
Got a link to this scene anon?
Can't find it on Youtube sadly. Here's a fight from the movie instead.
Are you saying you didn't like the scene where Gojira winked at the humans with a smirk?
Human expressions is what is forbidden. Not necessarily monsters having feelings or complexity but you know... them looking ridiculous. Godzilla's reputation as a grump suits him well.
>another movie that pretends king kang is on the same level as Chadzilla
pass
He's not, but there would be no Godzilla without King Kong so the monke deserves some respect. That said I'm not really happy about this new Legendary series turning into a King Kong series. I thought it was supposed to be about Godzilla
Godzilla will get a two season (at least) show. It's not bad. For now we don't know Godzilla's impact on the new movie.
Are you talking about the Apple show with Kurt Russell? Because I don't think that's really a Godzilla show. I don't even think he's going to be in it
It's gonna be about the Monarch organization. Think agents of shield but kaiju instead of marvelshit.
Yeah I know that, but I got the impression that it's going to be either more of a 'monster of the week' sort of deal, or just about Kurt Russell's characters family issues. I'll be legitimately surprised if Godzilla is ever actually featured in it.
The worst thing about it for me is, the Peter Jackson Kong film was the absolute best of King Kong for me. Nothing really compares to that and the skull island so they shouldn't have focused on Kong for another film again here
It's ok if there will be more movies it's doubtful Wingard will be the director.
>defeated by Godzilla and imprisoned
what did godzilla put handcuffs of them or something? gay
>he hasn't seen Copzilla
