>Still?
... no, anon. Not still.
Back then. when it was airing. What part of OP's post did you think meant "what's stopping it from airing today in 2023" ?
I only saw clips of that show when I was going through channels and honestly I thought that was a Thundercat spin off for years until I heard that wasn't on this website.
Three seasons anon. Not three years. Although I was somewhat mistaken that it lasted only a year. More like a year and ten months if you really want to narrow it down.
Either way, Chima didn't last long at all and basically flopped in CN's faces.
I'm thoroughly convinced that there are only actually like 15 people on Cinemaphile and they just keep making the same handful of threads over and over.
Isn't Lion-o related to the other cats?
At least to the kids?

uh no. in fact, Tygra and the kittens are not even originally from Thundera, so definitely no genes shared there beyond all of them originating from the same planet.
You're more correct than people will admit.
The tumblr art style was heavily influenced by a resentment of anime's popularity and the associated disregard for progressive politics.
people love to deny the past, what can I say. I can't be in a single thread about like a kids show where we talk about what childhood was like in that era without someone flat-out contradicting me. I guess I'm the moron and 90s parents weren't overprotective and stranger danger was not a thing that was pushed.
I'm thoroughly convinced that there are only actually like 15 people on Cinemaphile and they just keep making the same handful of threads over and over.
why do you think that is, when everyone else finds light-on-dark less straining?
i moved to dark modes because of a resurgence of vision problems causing light to 'bloom' too much in my scraped corneas.
>Bait thread to get Panz back
I wonder if it's the same autist forcing Elora, Lammy, and Pseudoregalia threads on Cinemaphile in the hopes of attracting artists to draw them.
I like 3d platformers a lot but something about that one puts me off, mostly the lowres floating block environments and wonky looking combat. Lotta people talk about the sm64 inspiration but it looks really ugly compared to that to me.
I think the game's a very good example of how just having a hot furry protag gives a game a lot of instant attention and basically free marketing, for better or worse
Didn't help that as the show went on, none of the characters became likeable. At first it was just shitting on Lion-O, but then it turned into Tygra and Cheetara being irredeemable psycho shitheads, Panthro being a self-centered prick, and the Wily Twins being stupid buttholes.
They had a REALLY GOOD pilot with an interesting premise, and then squandered it immediately, only to go on to make it worse and less enjoyable after already digging a grave for itself. It shouldn't even need to be said that the main characters need to be likable and interesting, but no one told the writers that.
>none of the characters became likeable
This board offers constant reminders that audiences are divided between people who want to watch characters do interesting things and people who want characters to be a surrogate friend circle.
They need to be interesting, not detestable. They don't have to be the audience's friend, but if they are annoying and obnoxious and unpleasant to even watch, then why would anyone watch? And then they didn't and the show flopped. Go figure.
>then why would anyone watch?
Because not everyone needs the people in the magic box to be friendship material.

naw dude, it's ONLY when you're a teen. before and after they're just colleagues.
It had multiple writers and sudden high elite Freemason writers (Top dog Trigger members) that panicked because the staff somehow accidentally contacted the Holy Ghost mid-production. So you literally have an entire section of the show written by God and an entire section of the show written by devils. And those elements do not mix whatsoever. The God side wants to say that the heart matters than the humanity of your body, not to idolize your humanity, stomp on magic, have a narrative focus on love starring the characters with those external issues, and expose demons and fallen angels as corrupters, liars, welders of magic, and the main force controlling humanity. “For we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood, but Principalities. Wickedness in high places.”
The demon side wants to preach a false gospel about reincarnation along with other Asian mysticism garbage, forgo the message about humanity in the heart by making external “perfect” humanity more relevant (even though this is clearly wrong because of 02 and “The beast and the human prince” book), promote a “we don’t need God, we need human unity”, demons, fallen angels, and God being “bodyless aliens” like that makes any sense, promote perversions as “love” (Mitsuru and the Lesbian), hate on God and add in subtle programming cues for mankind to hate him (the rapture literally happens in this Christian-coded human society, being performed by the “bodyless aliens”. Demons do not have this power in BTW because only Christ can take the souls of mankind).
Thus, Virm written by God is meant to be fallen angels that fits into the canonical “human wannabes” insult to a tee.
Virm written by demons is meant to be God and the heavens under twisted doctrines, hence why they their base is very deep into space (the third heaven in our realm) for some reason, when demons are clearly forbidden to enter there, and the story warps itself in all senses of logic trying to destroy it.

Yeah, and there are stories where the writers hated the audience.
Hollywood is full of them, where writers will out and say, they dislike the 'traditional audience' for a piece of media and are targeting them specifically.
How many have gloated about hating 'straight white males'? And 'sticking it to them'?
Regardless, even when you're writing villainous protagonists, they have to be likable and enjoyable to follow.
I watched Man Bites Dog recently, a film about a serial killer wandering around France raping and murdering while playing host to a documentary crew.
The killer was expressly charismatic and funny, so it was interesting and felt enjoyable to follow along with his story, even if he as a person was detestable and unintelligent.
You don't know how to write and think you're more clever than you are, so the idea of a protagonist or protagonist group that is unlikable and a 'bad person' sounds fantastic to you. Because it is different and new and risky and not following conventions.
Not realizing that you're just a moron that doesn't understand how to create a story.
You probably think that subverting tropes and conventions makes your work interesting, don't you? That being 'genre-savvy' is a skill. That doing something "readers couldn't predict" is in of itself, a good thing. Or of subverting their expectations being the peak of authorship.

there was incredibly strong anti-anime sentiment back then, we didn't write it down, it just happened and we remember it. that was the whole thing behind 'tumblr style' where they tried making people as ugly as possible, big goofy red noses, tiny eyes, total sexual ambiguity, etc. purely because they hated how popular anime was, and how fun and 'offensive' it was.

None of this actually happened. It's just some schizo anon making shit up because he loves being in a perpetual state of anger.
2011 was when anime was really grasping the normalgays by the balls and broke into the mainstream (again) that allowed it to absolutely explode in the 2020s (with a helping of COVID forcing everyone inside for a bit).
>2011 was when anime was really grasping the normalgays by the balls and broke into the mainstream (again)
Nope. The 10's anime boom didn't start until after the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure anime and then to a much bigger extent the Attack on Titan anime started, both of which were later (2012 and 2013). 2011 was too early.
Nah man, you can look up the show numbers on viewership and each season it was the highest or near highest watched show on CN. It entirely boils down to lack of toy sales and not being able to justify the cost of the show. Normies didn't give a shit about anything you were posting.
My dear anon, you know as well as I do that half the people on this board are chronic autists who can only deal in superlatives. For them, things are either the best thing ever to happen or the worst, with no room for the many degrees of quality separating the two.
none of the things people listed are actually true that lego chima show is what killed it >it was literally the same show with almost the same pilot plot, but cheaper to make >also had the lego brand name behind it >also had the toy sets ready to go >chima even literally just took the VAs from this thundercats and had them play almost the exact same characters in the lego show
The voice actors were different in each show, but otherwise yeah.
[...]
Cartoon Network used Legends of Chima as a cheaper alternative to Thundercats 2011 because
>Legos basically sells on brand name alone (for the most part) >They already had a hit Lego show with Ninjago.
Funny enough, it lasted only a year, just like Thundercats 2011, because no one cared about Chima because it sucked.
Most importantly, CN hated airing WB Animation shows with a passion, so they found the perfect chance to go around them by working with Lego and taking advantage of already existing assets to make their own knock-off.
i will never as long as i live understand trolls who just make elaborate lies that say the opposite of what everyone knows who lived through it
nor why they're so ubiquitous now. this didn't used to be a problem >um ackshually anon it was a problem, in 13th century france...
It's really only worth watching for nostalgia. And if you weren't a kid the first time you saw it, then you obviously won't be nostalgic for it. It's also 130 eps long, has some of the worst dialog you'll hear outside of 50s low-budget sci-fi film and the voice acting is wildly uneven. But the intro music is killer and the character designs are unimpeachable.
It really depends on your taste. I like the first chunk of season 1 because for a kid show of that era there was a good sense of continuity. Locations reoccur or are brought up before they travel to them, Mumm-ra mentions old plans and builds off them from time to time, and there are quite a lot of recurring characters.
That said the Thundercats will also get new powers at random, the MOTW plots can be bland, the show is preachy as it gets, certain characters are really underutilized, and as the show goes on they pull mcguffin after mcguffin out of their buttholes. Plus it loves being a very cheesy barbarian sci-fi show from am era where such shows were a dime a dozen so if you don't enjoy that you will he really let down. It's at least worth a try and I think it holds up better than He-Man and Transformers seasons 1/2.
I will never understand the criticisms for this show being as insanely over the top as they are
they're all valid criticisms, -for a masterpiece.-
but by 2011 standards it was by far the best show around, and by today's standards it is a masterpiece. Nothing else gets a fraction of the hate this gets.
This. It's actually an above average show, but I put off watching it for years because of all the hivemind screeching it generated, none of which turned out to be merited.
I mean some amount of it was. that's what's so frustrating. i can understand being disappointed since it could have been so much more, but how can you not marvel at what it was?
Some anons were basically mad at it simply because it wasn't the original show with improved visuals, and they let that get in the way of appreciating it for what it was. Just consciously choosing to be unhappy.
whymst the frick would I hurt the best girl?
I would play with her, feed her excellent meals, and snuggle her when she's tired.
Trouble would be tricky to avoid because she is a scamp. But hopefully stern words would be all it would take to keep her in line.
Teach her how to take care of herself, like making food and chores and such. Can't get into trouble if she's too busy learning stuff.
If she's hyperactive I geuss we'd go to a park, can cats play fetch?
Then she'd get 1 hour of entertainment privileges before she goes to be at 09:45pm SHARP.
i mean shit i loved laser pointers back in the day, you could get the kind with screw-on tips to make different patterns..
yeah she probably requires a lot of physical activity. that would wear me out probably. videogames are good but.. hmm. there's gotta be some useful but fun task.. gardening? she comes from farm stock.
The writing was offensively bad, characters were not fun to watch and the plot went in circles, focusing on pointless relationship drama between insufferable buttholes instead of adventure and action, and it felt like they were making shit up episode to episode instead of having a plan laid out. It was impossible to care for what happened to the cast or where the "mystery" lead to as a redult.
LionO was pathetic, a jobber and a simp, and the worst MC until Steven Universe.
Tygra was a shithead out to cause conflict with a very lame angsty side that just made him look like a big b***h
Cheetara was a dumb b***h that acted like she did all the work
Panthro was a big moron with no personality besides pretending he was busy doing important things to look gruff
Snarf and the Kittens were literally the only good characters
Anglos were shitting on every anime adaptation of western series back then like "Japanese stuff is gay". They were worshipping low IQ stupid dudebro trash and ugly hipster garbage and then hilariously they started the woke revolution in every entertainment that's by far gayer than anime.
You're giving the showrunners too much credit. It's probably less done for fetish, and more done because betrayal is cheap shock value in Pumyra's instance, because they clearly did not have smart plans for where the show should be going. With Cheetara, maybe it was as simple as a writer preferring Tygra.
Go ahead, post anything from Thundercats 2011 that isn't the e-girl catgirl.
That is why why Thundercats failed.
Chima mogs Thundercats in every way, and I don't even like Chima, Chima was mogged when the show it was supposed to replacing (Ninjago) was revived from the grave. Ninjago is still running after 15 seasons, a theatrical move and a new sequel series.
The plot was nonsense. There was a severe disconnect with the pilot and the average plots of the show. I adore the art style and character redesigns though, it's a shame it had to fall apart so dramatically.
It's a damned shame that they couldn't keep the quality even half as good as the pilot, because everything about this show had the potential to be fricking amazing. Animation and character designs, even audio, music, and voice acting were all fantastic. This could have rivaled Avatar as an action-adventure cartoon, but the writing and characterization was just so fricking bad.
Drifter was an insanely cool character to be used on a one-and-done plot, but seeing as they fricked everything else up, maybe for the best that he didn't come back.
>one-and-done plot
Reminder that stories like this feed into the wider show on the level of character rather than plot.
Anon, you can explain is excruciating detail the ways this show botched every character and plot beat and that spastic homosexual will still go "NUH UH YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO DISLIKE IT" and then ask why you're complaining after he goaded you to defend your position.
>"NUH UH YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO DISLIKE IT"
A dishonest reading of my posts. The anon you're replying to did say something close to "you're not allowed to like it" though (
No.
"The main characters are introduced as members of a society that enslaves others. It's not brought up again" is not just something I dislike. It's a genuine flaw.
Same as a main character's motivation for betrayal not making sense. And "you didn't save me from getting murdered, so I'm siding with my murderer" doesn't make a lick of sense.
The main character remaining in charge because he's the designated leader despite repeatedly showing no skills as a leader is also a flaw in the writing.
I'll give you that "Tygra is a douchebag" and "the love triangle was terrible" are just story elements I disliked, but considering the string of another anons also saying they disliked them I think that's fair criticism.
The show was shit, we acknowledged that it was shit when it was airing, it died, it deserved to die, and frick you for trying to whitewash history and trick newer anons into looking it up and giving it a chance.
Save yourselves newbs, don't fall for the chicanery, don't watch this very bad show.
): >Save yourselves newbs, don't fall for the chicanery, don't watch this very bad show.
This had to compete with db z kai, full metal alchemist b, naruto shippuden, attatck on titan, this was hard to find online compared to mainstream anime if you didnt have the time to watch it in order
Even if this was released on streaming media it has to be compete with a lot of animation from netflix disney warner and japan
The pilot was great. Then they fired the pilot writers and hired cheaper writers who had way too much of a hard on for Tygra to the point it was really fricking obnoxious to watch. Like Lion-O being the only one who gives a shit about technology in the pilot, and suddenly in the show Tygra is the resident tech guy, and the better fighter, and even Lion-O believes he should be the real king. They even planned on having the Thundercats split up in a Civil War scenario for no reason other than so Tygra could be the leader of a group called the Thundercats(because presumably they couldn't just kick Lion-O out and make Tygra the full time leader).
The one based move was Lion-O and Wily Kit being the planned endgame.
The curse of subversive writing and hiring "punch up" writers who only think in terms of what might be shocking or surprising, like they were making the comic of some shitty Superman comic where he says "that's it Jimmy, I'm melting your dick off for your crimes on mars!"
The curse of subversive writing and hiring "punch up" writers who only think in terms of what might be shocking or surprising, like they were making the comic of some shitty Superman comic where he says "that's it Jimmy, I'm melting your dick off for your crimes on mars!"
This sounds like DITF, where they badly wanted Mitsuru to be the star of the show at the expense of the MCs and literally the most important antagonists (Papa, Nines, Klaxosaur Princess) and side-characters (Ichigo and Dr. Franxx) in the show. And because Mitsuru was a pathetic, uninteresting, bag of gay dirt, they spent the second half nearly around him at almost every single character’s expense, except for the stupid yuri lesbian that magically solves everything.
Is this what happened to DITF? Everyone tells me to not watch it and avoid it like the plague and refuse to elaborate. The writers fell in love with an uninteresting side character?
Many things are involved with Franxx, but they did indeed throw away most of the actually important characters for Mitsuru and the lesbian, then tried to make the squad 13 normies look better than all of them with massive character retcons.
Most anons themselves do not know this. Despite how Nine Alpha went from a romantic princely boy that wanted to be in Ichigo’s pants like a normal guy
into a woke “gender is a hinderance” non-binary character that hates sex.
Papa and the Vice-head went from being two different characters in episode 1 (with hints of the vice-head guy being the true evil mastermind that subtly looks down on Papa as a “monster” in his very first line in episode 1) to being two heads of the same hivemind “bodyless Alien”, Virm.

Demonic things are inherently woke. To rebel against God is to rebel heterosexuality, man wearing the pants in the household, your gender, and many more things.

I'll never understand how you think this show was flattering tygra. they did their absolute best to make you hate him. and since it worked on you, why do you wrongly think the writers felt otherwise?
It's normal for the majority of a show to be written by other hands. Producers rarely write more than a couple of scripts, "scriptwriter" not being their job. Hell, Spaulding and Jelenic didn't even write both parts of the pilot episodes. The second part was written by Tab Murphy, and he definitely wasn't "replaced" because he's credited with another 7 eps.
pretty sure that doesn't exist. are you maybe looking at the weirdly-common fan design that a ton of different people drew? the one where she has normal pointy human ears instead of cat ears tied up into a topknot?
This guy was a fricking MASSIVE butthole, and the show did nothing to put him in his place. All the info we had about season 2 involved him getting sucked off as well, including him potentially heroically dying, and being recognized as a king of the Thundercats postmortem. There was no "well actually, you're looking at it wrong." They wrote a fricking prick character, didn't realize they wrote a prick, and thought everyone would like the prick.
They thought he'd be Sasuke, or Vegeta, or one of those rival characters who ends up more popular than the MC.
Fricking hated what they did to him. Tygra was my favorite in the original Thundercats, so having him be clever and capable was good... but having him be a massive pissbaby butthole who was always so angry that his precious ego wasn't being stroked and that people weren't treating him as the best guy to ever live just made the show unsalvageable because he was never treated as being wrong.
The problem was it ended before he got put in his place by the rise of Lion-o. They were still working on the antagonistic relationship and never got to the resolution of it.

The difference is, the writers are aware they're writing a snob. I genuinely don't think the writers for Tygra realized they were writing an butthole. They thought they were writing a cool rival character. This is something I've seen before, and I really wish there was a name for it- there probably is. But when a writer thinks they're writing one thing, and the audience sees it as something else, and they're just floored, and confused as to why.

So you recognize this character from a canceled show from 12 years ago is an butthole, and you have nothing to say other than "why do you hate buttholes?" You're probably OP just trying to keep the thread alive because the only thing people talk about this show is either Wileykit, the Cheetara cucking, or Tygra being a c**t.

And that'd be a real big problem if he was real and we had to hang out with him in real life. But he isn't real, he's just a series of moving frames and voice recordings on a screen, so it's not a problem.

how many people have to like or dislike something before it becomes good in your book? Are you from social media or something? we don't care about thumbs up here. you are allowed to tell a story about a main character who's mistreated. We enjoy shows like Doug, Life and Times of Tim, uhhh Tom Goes to the Mayor (at first, until it gets depressing on purpose), uhhh what else.. oh well shit, a main focus in Salute Your Shorts at least early on is the new kid always getting picked on by Budnick and Donkey Lips. It was based on a popular book a guy wrote about his camp experience as a kid.
We relate better to people who, despite being better (indeed, the fricking king) who should be worshipped by everyone around, instead being treated like shit. because that's life if you have anything good about you.

I remember the disappointment and frustration and how that gradually turned into total disinterest and demoralization. And then it got cancelled and everyone on Cinemaphile who cared said "good riddance" to it.
The writing was some of the worst in Cinemaphile history, to the point where every thread for a new ep featured a bunch of people going "well maybe it'll improve" and "but the pilot was so promising." It kept going back to the things people hated like the love triangle, Lion-o being too dumb to live, and the brothers LOATHING one another. The glimpses we got of the next season doubled down on all the worst aspects, with the added nonsense of aging up the Thunderkittens and making them more "serious" (a deathblow since the shortage of anything fun was already the show's greatest problem), with Wilykat running off to be an emo loner and Wilykit turning into a preachy Priestess.
You get a few morons going "but Lion-o was going to frick the e-girl" while ignoring that (1) she was going to get aged-up by a timeskip, and (2) by all accounts they were going to ditch the fun parts of her personality in favor of more preachiness.
Here's something I think I just figured out. Snarf was an annoying frick in the original show, as even the voice cast knew (
[snarf noises] "Oh! You've gotta snap out of it, Lion-o!"
"SHUT-UP, you FRICK!"
).
But he might have actually been important. New Snarf didn't talk, and noone else in the group had the same (annoying) voice of wisdom role that he did in the first one. All the thundercats are a bit wild and do things impulsively at times, in the original and the new show. The difference is that if the kittens were going to eat poison berries in the 80s, Snarf would tell them not to. If 2011 Tigra is being a c**t, new Snarf couldn't tell him not to be a c**t or Lion-o to ignore the c**t.

just say you hated the black guy, don't be shy
kids did with first one, I never knew they made another one until Cinemaphile, you can't just dump a show out with no promo, let ti die and say "see, nobody cares ;)"
"dump" is the right word though. The show was shit and Cinemaphile loathed it. Not sure why a couple anons have recently started trying to rewrite history and pretend it was an overlooked gem.
We looked closely and concluded the writers were incompetent idiots that fricked up a good pilot.
The cliffhanger was a character revealing
1) she was dead
2) she was siding with the dude that had killed her because she was so angry at the heroes for not preventing her death (something they were never in a position to stop).
Other writing gems included:
* Lion-o being in charge despite being Too Dumb To Live, because he's the royal heir and you can't argue with that. His leadership style included twice deciding to do kamikaze runs with the last few members of his race, only surviving thanks to deus ex machina
* Possibly the worst love triangle in Cinemaphile history
* One of the main characters being an utterly unlikable douche
* The pilot established that the Thundercats kinda had this coming because they treated all other races so poorly, a subject Cinemaphile was convinced would get addressed eventually, but wasn't in the 20+ episodes we got.
This was a bad show that never found its footing, was not on track to find its footing, and fully deserved to die.
This is just a list of storytelling elements you dislike.

>"The main characters are introduced as members of a society that enslaves others. It's not brought up again" is not just something I dislike. It's a genuine flaw.
Is it a flaw if Season 1 of a show doesn't explore everything introduced in the setup? Writers often set up things early so they can explore them later on (sometimes much later on!). Season 1 is mostly interested in themes of leadership, maturity and personal responsibility (all introduced in the pilot) because those themes have more immediate claims on the unready MC. Almost every ep deals with these things (even the "filler" eps). In future seasons, the writers could have returned to other themes from the pilot, like slavery and caste. But circumstances outside their control (
>timeslot >toy sales >budget
) meant they never got the chance.
>Same as a main character's motivation for betrayal not making sense. And "you didn't save me from getting murdered, so I'm siding with my murderer" doesn't make a lick of sense.
This point has some merit.
>The main character remaining in charge because he's the designated leader despite repeatedly showing no skills as a leader is also a flaw in the writing.
Disagree. Lin-O isn't the "designated" leader, he's the *chosen* leader. It's consistent with the worldbuilding from the pilot that the Thundercats follow the guy chosen by the Sword of Omens.
>but considering the string of another anons also saying they disliked them I think that's fair criticism.
It tells us other people disliked those thing, sure. But since you can't please everyone, it'd be surprising if other people didn't dislike them too.
>Save yourselves newbs, don't fall for the chicanery, don't watch this very bad show.
I say let people watch things and make up their own minds.

>Is it a flaw if Season 1 of a show doesn't explore everything introduced in the setup?
It's a flaw if season 1 is 26 episodes long, the pilot establishes "this is all happening because the protagonists come from a Slaver Society," and for the next 24 episodes the subject is never again even brought up, yes.
There's a limit to how often you can go "they'll get there eventually!" Giving them a whole-ass 24 episodes (500+ minutes!) to remember a central conflict seems downright generous.
>Disagree. Lin-O isn't the "designated" leader, he's the *chosen* leader. It's consistent with the worldbuilding from the pilot that the Thundercats follow the guy chosen by the Sword of Omens.
Okay. He's a shit leader whose plans twice included "I refuse to keep running, we'll charge them like the Light Brigade!" a plan that only avoided being the end of the whole series because a deus ex machina stepped in. It's even more egregious because in the pilot we got REASONS why he'd be a good leader: (1) he was the only person in his whole society (aside from the missing Panthro) who cared about "Technology" and he realized that enslaving the other races was bad. That was dropped in favor of "well he's in charge because Destiny decided they needed a moron in charge." That doesn't make for enjoyable watching anon.

>There's a limit to how often you can go "they'll get there eventually!" Giving them a whole-ass 24 episodes (500+ minutes!) to remember a central conflict seems downright generous.
All this tells us is it displeased you because the theme wasn't returned to at a time of your own choosing. But your personal "limit" isn't everyone's.
>He's a shit leader
Lion-O fricking up on the way to becoming the person the Sword needs him to be is the point.
>That was dropped in favor of "well he's in charge because Destiny decided they needed a moron in charge."
Addressed this already: "Season 1 is mostly interested in themes of leadership, maturity and personal responsibility (all introduced in the pilot) because those themes *have more immediate claims* on the unready MC."
Also, being pro-technology and anti-slavery means nothing if Lion-O doesn't first go through the process of becoming a leader who can effectively fight those things in the real world. The whole reason Season 1 exists is to show that process taking place.
>That doesn't make for enjoyable watching anon.
Except other people did enjoy the show. You keep mistaking your personal preferences for universal truths and it's getting in the way of seeing what's in front of you.

Anon, you can explain is excruciating detail the ways this show botched every character and plot beat and that spastic homosexual will still go "NUH UH YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO DISLIKE IT" and then ask why you're complaining after he goaded you to defend your position.
>good writing
I didn't sit through a whole season of dogshit writing just to have some anon try to gaslight me into thinking this was actually an unappreciated gem.
It had great action, great animation, pretty good voice acting, and the first two episodes were pretty awesome. And, individually, meaning that if the first time you saw any episode was your first introduction to the series, the writing is good.
However, once you start watching the episodes in sequence, it gets really annoying. It's like every time a writer wrote an episode they wouldn't allow him to watch the previous episodes:
>'I'm Lion-O and I'm the only cat who knows dick about technology' >'I'm Tygra and technology isn't real and your dumb and I won't even think about this anymore'
NEXT EPISODE:
>'I'm Tygra, I'm gonna fix the thundertank because I know how all of a sudden, no one let Lion-O help, set him on a quest for supplies since he knows dick about technology.'
>'I'm Tygra, I'm gonna fix the thundertank because I know how all of a sudden, no one let Lion-O help, set him on a quest for supplies since he knows dick about technology.'
Didn't this happen after Tygra picked up a laser, decided he liked tech after all (because lasers are cool) and became buddies with Panthro (the guy who loves the Thundertank, and by implication probably taught Tygra how it works between episodes)?
>you know Lion-O, maybe you're not such a worthless homosexual after all... >next episode >Lion-O you worthless homosexual, I would stab you to death in your sleep, but then I'd get your loser homosexual blood on my hands
>you know Lion-O, maybe you're not such a worthless homosexual after all... >next episode >Lion-O you worthless homosexual, I would stab you to death in your sleep, but then I'd get your loser homosexual blood on my hands
Come on man, if you watched it, you'd agree. There was no consistency between episodes whatsoever. Its like each one had a new writer who never watched any of the others first.
god, I miss when not everything had to be an arc
I mean I enjoyed Fired on Mars, but I'll be the first to acknowledge that it's really more like a long movie than a season of a show.
from the synopses, I'm gonna assume it was an indie film script that was later turned into animation cause they don't make low budget films that isn't about blacks or homosexuals anymore

mmmm could be. but it wouldn't have worked as well in film length I think. there was not a lot of downtime that didn't serve a purpose.

i moved to dark modes because of a resurgence of vision problems causing light to 'bloom' too much in my scraped corneas.

They wasted the first season telling the same "you gotta grow up and be a responsible leader, Lion-O!" story over and over
While constantly shitting on LionO
Then you've missed my point entirely.
Let me rephrase... Being likeable is only a must for other viewers when dealing with real people. But the Thundercats aren't real people, so we don't care if they're likeable.
>so we don't care if they're likeable.
We do if we want every character to die for the stupid things they keep doing because the writers are fricking moronic.
Go outside and make some actual friends.
you say that like that's available
that's like "oh all the food is rotten and you're starving? just eat food, dummy"
You're your own worst enemy.
and my own best friend. kinda default when you're alone
anyway i'm not even that petulant anon, i'm just saying. we can't just 'go make friends' and but for the grace of god, I could easily have been like that guy. I might even have been him in the past at some point.
Actual friends are something you make before you're a teen. Anything after that are either acquaintances or networking, IE people you'll never have that deep friendship bond with.
naw dude, it's ONLY when you're a teen. before and after they're just colleagues.
but manga's always written by one guy..
>but manga's always written by one guy..
Franxx is a anime original series that gotten a crappy rushed manga adaptation.
>but manga's always written by one guy..
No, you're forgetting the editors and assistants that can heavily change the story.
>How could I forget? I never knew!
>Actual friends are something you make before you're a teen. Anything after that are either acquaintances or networking, IE people you'll never have that deep friendship bond with.
Skill issue.
Take your meds.
Damn, man.
You didn't need to call me out like that.
god those were the fricking days
Fricking LOL I still have some emo J Acer art saved too
Tails look extra yummy, I must say.
He became an official Archie Sonic artist
Learn to write, moron.
Your protagonists have to be likeable or charismatic and interesting to follow.
You aren't clever or mature for writing unlikable protagonists. You're just an idiot that won't ever attract readers or viewers.
>Your protagonists have to be likeable
There is a 100% chance you have at some point typed the words "it's like the writers hate the audience" after watching a show that doesn't follow the exact story beats you're accustomed to.
Scott Pilgrim is an unlikable c**t, and that seems to be fairly popular ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I never bothered finishing it, because while I don't mind butthole protags the story has to make up for it by being funny or interesting and Scott was neither.
t. liked Box Office Poison
Yeah, and the film was a flop.
The most well received Scott Pilgrim story was the one where Ramona was the protagonist, lol.
The film was retared and I noped out when the fricking pooinloo dancenumber started.
There are tons of writers that think like you and are confused why no one reads or watches their shit.
Some stupid creative writing teacher really failed you or you failed him.
I mean the point of the show to me is 'everybody is unfair to lion-o'
i resonated with that
and then wilykit was loyal to him and it was like hnnng
Amerimutts were mocking it back then just because its anime and made in Japan. They and their media were criticising anything Japanese in the pre woke era for a different reason from woke shit.
In 2011? Do you have a single example?
there was incredibly strong anti-anime sentiment back then, we didn't write it down, it just happened and we remember it. that was the whole thing behind 'tumblr style' where they tried making people as ugly as possible, big goofy red noses, tiny eyes, total sexual ambiguity, etc. purely because they hated how popular anime was, and how fun and 'offensive' it was.
How is hating anime for being popular, fun and 'offensive' different from the woke reasons for hating it?
oh it's not. I wasn't arguing with
, I was arguing with the post I replied to.
You're more correct than people will admit.
The tumblr art style was heavily influenced by a resentment of anime's popularity and the associated disregard for progressive politics.
2011 was too early.
man that was so lame, anime was shit on for so many years then suddenly popular again, but only crummy new shows
Nah man, you can look up the show numbers on viewership and each season it was the highest or near highest watched show on CN. It entirely boils down to lack of toy sales and not being able to justify the cost of the show. Normies didn't give a shit about anything you were posting.
>good writing
And this, folks, is where the author of the post let's you know they're trolling
he said good, not great.
and the author is not a they.
My dear anon, you know as well as I do that half the people on this board are chronic autists who can only deal in superlatives. For them, things are either the best thing ever to happen or the worst, with no room for the many degrees of quality separating the two.
the hat fits her PERFECTLY
Merry Kitsmas, everyone. I wish Wilykit was under my tree.
>good writing
For the pilot and maybe a handful of lore eps, but the majority was stunningly bad.
I’m not a furry but
none of the things people listed are actually true that lego chima show is what killed it
>it was literally the same show with almost the same pilot plot, but cheaper to make
>also had the lego brand name behind it
>also had the toy sets ready to go
>chima even literally just took the VAs from this thundercats and had them play almost the exact same characters in the lego show
The voice actors were different in each show, but otherwise yeah.
Most importantly, CN hated airing WB Animation shows with a passion, so they found the perfect chance to go around them by working with Lego and taking advantage of already existing assets to make their own knock-off.
WB hates and attacks its own co-properties almost as badly as Sony does
i will never as long as i live understand trolls who just make elaborate lies that say the opposite of what everyone knows who lived through it
nor why they're so ubiquitous now. this didn't used to be a problem
>um ackshually anon it was a problem, in 13th century france...
Is the original worth watching?
It's at least worth a try and I think it holds up better than He-Man and Transformers seasons 1/2.
you are being blinded by your love for this cute character op!
Just consciously choosing to be unhappy.
>great artstyle
It's literally just anime. The opposite of good artstyle.
oh hey tumblr's back
been a while, how you been? Having a merry nothingmas?
You don't read comics or watch cartoons.
oh we have a celebrity here, this guy's from /toy/
Everything past the excellent pilot was complete shit.
whymst the frick would I hurt the best girl?
I would play with her, feed her excellent meals, and snuggle her when she's tired.
Trouble would be tricky to avoid because she is a scamp. But hopefully stern words would be all it would take to keep her in line.
Teach her how to take care of herself, like making food and chores and such. Can't get into trouble if she's too busy learning stuff.
If she's hyperactive I geuss we'd go to a park, can cats play fetch?
Then she'd get 1 hour of entertainment privileges before she goes to be at 09:45pm SHARP.
jesus anon adolescents need to stay up late and sleep in late. she's short enough already, don't make that worse?
Hmmm, fair point.
Don't wanna give her a sleep disorder (like me).
I geuss I'd have to make sure she gets a full 9 Hours of sleep, right?
So 10pm to 8am?
9 is a bare minimum. I dunno, when I was her age it was a lot more comfortable and natural to go to bed at midnight and wake up at like 11.
and since I still do that (okay, so it's usually 2 am to 1 pm), it wouldn't do for her to be bored by herself half the day.
Okay yeah makes sense.
Do you think she'd be amused by that laser pointer thing most cats like?
If so, there could be a good hour of playtime there, assuming it would work.
I don't know if teaching her how to play my old Ps3 is a good idea for entertainment.
i mean shit i loved laser pointers back in the day, you could get the kind with screw-on tips to make different patterns..
yeah she probably requires a lot of physical activity. that would wear me out probably. videogames are good but.. hmm. there's gotta be some useful but fun task.. gardening? she comes from farm stock.
They were worshipping low IQ stupid dudebro trash and ugly hipster garbage and then hilariously they started the woke revolution in every entertainment that's by far gayer than anime.
>literal cuck fetish tripe that ends with the cuck MC getting double cucked by his brother and arch nemesis
>good writing
Pick one.
You're giving the showrunners too much credit. It's probably less done for fetish, and more done because betrayal is cheap shock value in Pumyra's instance, because they clearly did not have smart plans for where the show should be going. With Cheetara, maybe it was as simple as a writer preferring Tygra.
Nobody watched it.
Lies
always makes me smile seein my art in the wild.
Doing any drawgayging this christmas, CF?
I'm keepin my eyes open!
wilykit is kinda hard to just quickly sketch up. She's a lot of work but she's worth it..
hmmmmmm....
Wilykit flexing.
i wonder how much time kit and kat spend feeling each other up
A lot
>good animation, great artstyle,
>good writing
I will never not be amazed that Stephen Root voiced this rabbit.
Drifter was an insanely cool character to be used on a one-and-done plot, but seeing as they fricked everything else up, maybe for the best that he didn't come back.
>one-and-done plot
Reminder that stories like this feed into the wider show on the level of character rather than plot.
>"NUH UH YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO DISLIKE IT"
A dishonest reading of my posts. The anon you're replying to did say something close to "you're not allowed to like it" though (
):
>Save yourselves newbs, don't fall for the chicanery, don't watch this very bad show.
by far the best plot on western tv since avatar ended
Did you mean "best pilot?" Because yeah that was pretty solid. All the more upsetting that nothing following it lived up to that.
indeed, but one gourmet steak followed by a bunch of cheap burgers is fantastic when you're starving.
>201x251
boo
post the full daki
NTA but here you go and happy holidays
Thanks anon.
Papa and the Vice-head went from being two different characters in episode 1 (with hints of the vice-head guy being the true evil mastermind that subtly looks down on Papa as a “monster” in his very first line in episode 1) to being two heads of the same hivemind “bodyless Alien”, Virm.
and this is.. an anime.
since the frick when does anime have any of this. this is as farfetched as getting salmonella from japanese chicken.
ohhh anime-first is a different animal...
>since the frick when does anime have any of this. this is as farfetched as getting salmonella from japanese chicken.
Dude, anime/manga creators in Japan literally do demonic rituals like Automatic writings and worship idols. They literally write demonic ideas and mockeries all of the time. Just look what they’ve done to Jesus in that stupid Buddha and Jesus show and how instead of solving paranormal problems with the one true God, they use and replaced him with magic.
no, the woke stuff. not your schizophrenia, that part I get.
Demonic things are inherently woke. To rebel against God is to rebel heterosexuality, man wearing the pants in the household, your gender, and many more things.
how can an anime have that kind of issue, they're all written by one guy
I'll never understand how you think this show was flattering tygra. they did their absolute best to make you hate him. and since it worked on you, why do you wrongly think the writers felt otherwise?
>I'll never understand how you think this show was flattering tygra.
It probably help if you actually watched the show.
the show that constantly portrayed tygra as antagonistic and unlikeable
do you think back to the future was trying to make you like Biff?
So to you, sucking Tygra's dick at every opportunity is portraying him as antagonistic and unlikable? Interesting.
again, -it worked on you-
do you think you're the only one who reacted that way? really?
>Good writing
Pffft, for the first two episodes and maybe the Petalar one maybe.

The original designs were better

All of them have their charm, even THAT one.

Feason my beloved
>good writing
It fell off HARD after the first two episodes.
That's because the pilot had different writers who were replaced by cheaper writers afterwards.
What a catastrophically stupid way to ruin all the work that went into the rest of the show.

Is she the only female speedster?
Yes, all the other female cheetah people died in the Cum Wars.
ehh speed is more of a feminine thing in general. if it wasn't for superheroes being mostly guys to start with, we'd see that.
is this furry?
or do anime designs get a pass?
Not enough snout, more like monster girl-lite than full on furry.
Lion-O’s tiny wife

>awww
Indeed!!!!
They are cute together…CUTE!!!
perfect couple.
tall guy and short girl are the best
I saw the concept art for what Wilykit would have looked like as an adult and I'm disappointed that they didn't make her look neotenous at all.
>I saw the concept art for what Wilykit
Post it.
pretty sure that doesn't exist. are you maybe looking at the weirdly-common fan design that a ton of different people drew? the one where she has normal pointy human ears instead of cat ears tied up into a topknot?
snarf was cute too. he might be the most improved character.
Everything about the cartoon was peak design…way superior to the original or roar
[snarf noises] "Oh! You've gotta snap out of it, Lion-o!"
"SHUT-UP, you FRICK!"
those outtakes were so wonderful
and it made anon mad, see? that's a massive crime! he was in SUCH a good mood that day and it RUINED it!
Hands off, Catra. They are children.
too late
>good writing

Frick off this with this revisionism
>This guy was a fricking MASSIVE butthole
Yes.
>and the show did nothing to put him in his place.
And?
The problem was it ended before he got put in his place by the rise of Lion-o. They were still working on the antagonistic relationship and never got to the resolution of it.
>And?
I don't know why you expect that telling people a show is bad on purpose is supposed to convince them to like it more.
>Mommy, the tv is attacking me again!
So you just expect people to love and financially support bad shows because...
>Bad is when Not My Tygra.
Bad is when no one enjoys the show and it gets cancelled. Cry about it.
>Bad is when Tygra still makes me cry in a canceled show from 12 years ago.
Well yeah, we're talking about why this shit got canceled. Maybe people would've liked it more if the characters weren't badly written.
nah, the toy buying demo the show was intended for don't care, I used to love plenty of garbage show when I was little and plenty of shitty shows can be plenty popular
Well this is my anecdotal argument: you have an butthole character in a show who never gets any comeuppance for being an butthole, and it's gonna piss kids off.
you realize that is every show
and these days, they try to make you think of that character as a friend. every show has some shit-ass bully snob girl who becomes a main character and is instantly forgiven
The difference is, the writers are aware they're writing a snob. I genuinely don't think the writers for Tygra realized they were writing an butthole. They thought they were writing a cool rival character. This is something I've seen before, and I really wish there was a name for it- there probably is. But when a writer thinks they're writing one thing, and the audience sees it as something else, and they're just floored, and confused as to why.
well, I genuinely do think that. and I think it's also really obvious they realized it and intended it.
all.
What shows are you watching where anything even half as bad as this show was is a regular occurrence?
nnno, the toy buying demo did care, the toys were lousy
wilykit and kat were statues.
lol your inability to tell bad writing from writing you don't care for did not get the show canned, this shit did
What makes the writing in the show good? You're defending a 12 year old show that got canceled, and no one particularly goes up to bat for it in its writing.
>What makes the writing in the show good?
Is there actually any point getting into it with someone who's idea of evidence of bad writing is "look what they did to my boy"?
So you recognize this character from a canceled show from 12 years ago is an butthole, and you have nothing to say other than "why do you hate buttholes?" You're probably OP just trying to keep the thread alive because the only thing people talk about this show is either Wileykit, the Cheetara cucking, or Tygra being a c**t.
>this character from a canceled show from 12 years ago is an butthole
And that'd be a real big problem if he was real and we had to hang out with him in real life. But he isn't real, he's just a series of moving frames and voice recordings on a screen, so it's not a problem.
It is a problem when it makes the show less enjoyable. Fricking duh, dude. He wasn't compelling. He was just a dick.
>it makes the show less enjoyable.
For you.
For lots of people. Tygra was not a popular character in this canceled television show from a dozen years ago.
>For lots of people.
But also not for lots of other people.
Where are the hordes of 2011 Tygra fans, dude? All anyone ever talks about him is that he has a dick.
anon
how many people have to like or dislike something before it becomes good in your book?
The show didn't recognize that Lion-O was "mistreated." The show didn't recognize that Tygra was a gay. They thought they wrote a cool rival character. And they failed.
There are multiple, multiple people in this thread b***hing about the character before me, and there were plenty b***hing about him when the show was airing.
>There are multiple, multiple people in this thread b***hing about the character before me
Apparently they don't feel strongly enough about the subject to rally to your banner.
>and there were plenty b***hing about him when the show was airing.
Which, again, tells us nothing about the quality of the writing, only that some viewers responded negatively to the character's personality.
Dude, no one responds strongly to this show, lol. It was a 26 episode adaptation from a dozen years ago, and the two things people remember about it are the e-girl, and how there was an attempt to make a Sasuke, who just turned out to be a butthole.
>Dude, no one responds strongly to this show, lol.
This thread suggests otherwise.
All 76 IPs across two days, lmao.
76 IPs might not be the Golden Horde, but it ain't "no one" either.
>2011 was 12 years ago
>13 years in a few days
honestly with as much as has gone to shit since then, that feels right.
>Apparently they don't feel strongly enough about the subject to rally to your banner.
Hi, you're a homosexual. This show sucked and you can see everyone in this thread replying to OP (probably you) to laugh in his face about the "good writing" thing.
>everyone
lol pretending everyone itt is a naysayer is weak and easily disproven by scrolling the thread
Any positive posts about this show amount to what is likely one guy and a handful of coomers who want to rail the e-girl. Not exactly a compelling argument for the writing or characterization.
>likely one guy and a handful of coomers
Cannot imagine being this insecure about the idea that your opinion isn't universal.
Yes you can, because you're doing it right now.
>No U
>no one agrees with you
>look at all the posts that agree with me
>well you're insecure!
Almost universally agreed that the writing for this show sucked and you are pretending to be smug and witty to cope with the fact that the closest thing to a dissenting opinion comes from horny pedophiles.
>pretending to be smug and witty to cope
Projecting.
Still 76 IPs, lmao.
yes it did
hiveminds are not an argument. tell me one thing you enjoy that doesn't have 50 million frickups all giving the same unwarranted criticism about it. i'll wait.
Yes yes, now you're Captain America standing up to the angry mob and telling them "no u" because the little "no one agrees with you" argument fell flat on its face.
usually am, yeah. it's amazing how writers like that always have some bullshit in mind, yet they always end up making a valid point for the other side.
>Where are the hordes of 2011 Tygra fans, dude?
Where are the hordes of people backing up your Tygra posts?
>All anyone ever talks about him is that he has a dick.
The only person I'm hearing b***h about him nonstop right now is you.
This gay won't even accept that people disliked the show and thinks he's been arguing with one anon this whole time. I remember the threads when this came out. I remember the disappointment and frustration and how that gradually turned into total disinterest and demoralization. And then it got cancelled and everyone on Cinemaphile who cared said "good riddance" to it.
>All the info we had about season 2 involved him getting sucked off as well
Him being a lousy and unpopular king who is dumped by Cheetara and only gets back together with him right before dying?
>good writing
>good writing
>good
The writing was some of the worst in Cinemaphile history, to the point where every thread for a new ep featured a bunch of people going "well maybe it'll improve" and "but the pilot was so promising." It kept going back to the things people hated like the love triangle, Lion-o being too dumb to live, and the brothers LOATHING one another.
>In hindsight, What DID kill her show?
for me, no Jap dub
itt: GEEWUN and Trukk not Munky!
I don't think tails work like this
She's special.
I blame Legend of korra for thundercats 2011 cancellation.
SNARF SNARF~
Here's something I think I just figured out. Snarf was an annoying frick in the original show, as even the voice cast knew (
Deep lore.
SNARF, I doubt it, SNARF~SNARF
What is this abomination?
>poster count did not go up
>What is this abomination?
back in the ye olde days, ppl made photoreal version of cartoon folk using zbrush, not ai
and they were hideous.. typically on purpose. then they made a fricking pokemon movie where they HIRED those artists, because execs are clueless. and it did billions because normies are clueless.
>it's wrong that kids enjoy a different take on some cartoon monsters
just say you hated the black guy, don't be shy
i don't recall a black guy.
Sorry, average American then.
SNARF you better be good anon, SNARF or I will touch you, SNARF at night, SNARF~!!
that is a valid point
Did he actually do that? All I remember is him saying snarf snarf to every comment.
The fact that nobody on earth gives a frick about Thundercats anymore. Not now, and not then.
kids did with first one, I never knew they made another one until Cinemaphile, you can't just dump a show out with no promo, let ti die and say "see, nobody cares ;)"
"dump" is the right word though. The show was shit and Cinemaphile loathed it. Not sure why a couple anons have recently started trying to rewrite history and pretend it was an overlooked gem.
We looked closely and concluded the writers were incompetent idiots that fricked up a good pilot.
>We looked closely
With no less critical acumen than a Cinema Sins video.
But circumstances outside their control (
) meant they never got the chance.
True.
Still 76 IPs, lmao. It's just OP crying that people don't like his shitty forgotten watered down anime knockoff.
If you don't stop arguing. I won't draw anything for you
Panz
Catra sucking face with Wilykit.
>Catra
nta, which one is this?
>nta, which one is this?
She-Ra character
>like two piece of sandpaper rubbing against each other.
even better, their tongues are covered in tiny barbed hooks
imagine them interlocking
Based Panz delivering the goods! tysm
That wasn't me.
nice
Catra is a Thundercat
aw thundercatra
i bet she wishes she could move to a better show..
Bad writing
>watch amongst an adoring crowd
>stand up and yell from the top of my lungs
>SEXOOOOOOO
It's amazing how some shows just attract these people who didn't merely dislike it, but actively need to oppose anyone else liking it.
>Just let people enjoy things XD
No, I refuse to let people go through their pathetic lives thinking this show had good writing.
and does that satisfy you? spending over a decade of your life coming to Cinemaphile to b***h at people for enjoying the wrong thing?
https://files.catbox.moe/3dqtiz.png
Some fresh wilykit from panz
He's also done with the thread unless you guys stop arguing over the show
that is hot. well not the heels, but I can look past that. panz does good work.
Panz here. You're straight up continuing to argue over a mid cartoon from over a decade ago.
Still won't do anything new until yall knock it off
Thanks for posting it. I'm not at my computer atm and I hate posting shit on my phone.
This was just an old thing I finally finished btw
Stop being a pedophile.
Who is the other girl?
If you wait for civil threads you will have to wait a long time. This is Cinemaphile people fight right and left.
Yes please.
That's the girl from We're Back a Dinosaur's Story isn't it?
Yeah, Panz really likes her.
she's sexy. that shit gave me the funny feelings as a wee small.
my autism won't let me enjoy crossover shit, shame
If yall can be good little anons I'll draw something when I get home work.
Panz
*from*
Fricking phone
Do you draw 80s Wilykit or are you 2011 exclusive?
I usually stick to 2011. But I might give 80s a try idk.
>But I might give 80s a try idk.
If you do, I'd love to see her using Cheetara's staff to poledance.
>good writing
I didn't sit through a whole season of dogshit writing just to have some anon try to gaslight me into thinking this was actually an unappreciated gem.
It had great action, great animation, pretty good voice acting, and the first two episodes were pretty awesome. And, individually, meaning that if the first time you saw any episode was your first introduction to the series, the writing is good.
However, once you start watching the episodes in sequence, it gets really annoying. It's like every time a writer wrote an episode they wouldn't allow him to watch the previous episodes:
>'I'm Lion-O and I'm the only cat who knows dick about technology'
>'I'm Tygra and technology isn't real and your dumb and I won't even think about this anymore'
NEXT EPISODE:
>'I'm Tygra, I'm gonna fix the thundertank because I know how all of a sudden, no one let Lion-O help, set him on a quest for supplies since he knows dick about technology.'
Every episode something like this happens.
>'I'm Tygra, I'm gonna fix the thundertank because I know how all of a sudden, no one let Lion-O help, set him on a quest for supplies since he knows dick about technology.'
Didn't this happen after Tygra picked up a laser, decided he liked tech after all (because lasers are cool) and became buddies with Panthro (the guy who loves the Thundertank, and by implication probably taught Tygra how it works between episodes)?
that sounds plausible to me
that sounds like classic brother jealousy.
>you know Lion-O, maybe you're not such a worthless homosexual after all...
>next episode
>Lion-O you worthless homosexual, I would stab you to death in your sleep, but then I'd get your loser homosexual blood on my hands
I love Wily Kat
as long as you are a girl
What makes you think she's long?
>good writing
No. Just no.
>Boco
Opinion discarded.
Come on man, if you watched it, you'd agree. There was no consistency between episodes whatsoever. Its like each one had a new writer who never watched any of the others first.
>Boco
Opinion lasered from orbit.
>I hate tripgays, GRRR
>I will give him all the attention he craves
>that'll show him!!!
one mediocre story chopped into pointless 20 minute segments drawn out over an entire season wasn't a hip thing to yet, it was a better time
god, I miss when not everything had to be an arc
I mean I enjoyed Fired on Mars, but I'll be the first to acknowledge that it's really more like a long movie than a season of a show.
from the synopses, I'm gonna assume it was an indie film script that was later turned into animation cause they don't make low budget films that isn't about blacks or homosexuals anymore
mmmm could be. but it wouldn't have worked as well in film length I think. there was not a lot of downtime that didn't serve a purpose.
>Even Boco knows
lmao
With ai cun*ny available, how long will these thinly disguised "waiting for a random drawgay to deliver" threads last?
I suppose needing a decent GPU card for local install will remain a great filter for some time to come, even aside from the anti-ai attitude.
that and the fact that you still can't easily just download and run a program
I mean look at this shit. visible lips? FOUR strands of hair? I mean it's just
okay it's amazing. i can't believe how accurate it is, actually.
it's a machine, it should have been perfect from the start, no art trained on it had missing fingers and such
it's complicated! it's not being taught anatomy or anything, it had to brute force it. Because it's too hard for us to teach it any individual concepts.
this is my room
she will not leave w/o being creamed inside
many times
AI still cant get parts of my interests right so I need to still ask artists.
what interests???
(you'd be surprised how much you can get out of ai theses days, but after a certain point it'll be easier to just draw it (if you drew already))
Panz kinda almost did it, last draw he did.
Perhaps in a few more years AI will be so efficient accessible I can type the most simple prompt and it will nail it 100%.
sorry, I don't keep up with all the drawgays, what was it?
Probably the scuba thing.
is this like the wonder bread thing?
scuba guy is not a fraction as messed up as wonder bread guy
he just has a weird and specific fetish and he's very politely asking people to draw it.
so wilykit doing scuba amid corals and stuff... wait I'm thinking of snorkeling... does he need the whole mask and suit get up?
iirc the mask and swim fins are the most important part. I don't think it has to have a snorkel or scuba apparatus.
is this fella the "dunk-gay," that one anon who likes to see the girls get dunked into the water like in those carnie games
i don't think so
This place really does attract a lot of autists with specific fetishes.
t. autist with a specific fetish
Yours is very tame. Its just an outfit with a word on it.
how depraved is your's then?
True, but what I lack in specificity, I make up for in autism.
hot
i mean there's an implication to it. one that i find gross, but whatever.
https://litter.catbox.moe/8cs3ek.png
>I don't think it has to have
In most cases that is omitted, because that stuff can get pretty tough to draw to have it look correct. Some artists like a challenge though, and like to draw alot of detailed gear.
No.
rich white women...scuba diving for the wonder bread treasure...
We just need another reboot.
I'm......
almost okay with this.. just make the kittens look less like midget adults and we're in.
Or, grow them taller so they are young adults and scale with the others. and maybe ditch the troll hair on kit.
no can do
making kids look like tiny adults is fine western art tradition
>Never talk to me or my son Vincent Schiavello again
I'd roll the dice on another reboot that tries to take itself seriously. None of that TTGO shit. Just keep Adi Shankar and Kevin Smith away from it and there's a chance it could be alright. No worse than the original cartoon.
https://files.catbox.moe/2c2627.png
panz here. thank u for ur patience
Cute butt.
hnnnnggg that is a wet kit.
Her tail fur should probably be hanging down from gravity, but her topknot wouldn't since that's supported by cartilage.
WET PUSSY
Very cute. I think the head might just be a smidge too big tho.
>good writing
Was the writing that bad? I didn't see the show I just like wilykit and am going to start it soon because of wilykit
>Was the writing that bad?
No.
