We covered this earlier. Some part of the storage or equip process leaves the stain. It's very common.
CGI really peaked ten years ago. Go watch Transformers Dark of the Moon or something, all the background decepticons have different weapons, heads etc. A lot of them have totally different designs. This show obviously just copy + pasting designs is laughable by comparison.
