Does Geoff Johns' GL deal with any of that Spectre or Parallax bullshit? Because that's when I instantly tune out of any Hal Jordan story

Nah, you're in the clear.
Is this actually good?
Nope
Yes
These pages aren't very good. I understand they're both callbacks, but the less of this stuff, the better.
What's wrong with them exactly?
The first spread has wanky dialogue. A dynamic as shown there gets annoying fast.
On the second image, the general writing style is very bare bones. It's the type of writing that bores me.
The art isn't the greatest either.
I'll still give it a read, but if these are the kind of things I encounter, I'll bail immediately.
I think it's fine but I'm no expert.
Neither am I.
>Maybe the best superhero run of the 2000s.
That's a bold statement. I'm hoping it's as good as you say.
All wrong.
That's a good one.
The first spread is great. The art is great, the writing is good. You can go eat shit.
The art is weak on the second, but the writing is fine. You just seem like a baby.
Batcucks need no reply
It handwaves it away.
Yes. Maybe the best superhero run of the 2000s.
Yes
Johns was actually the one who took Parallax and the Spectre out of Hal and brought him back to basics.
He retconned Parallax into a yellow space parasite that turned Hal evil, with any time that he did anything good as Hal's true nature showing, and had the Spectre leave Hal's soul because it was finally clean of the Parallax infection.
After that, they're still somewhat brought up as something that happened to Hal, but he's generally free of their influence and back to being himself.
damn that's great to hear. gonna pick it up, thanks.
I still can’t believe it took a decade for Rebirth to happen and DC to admit that Emerald Twilight was a mistake.
Johns for my slop, Moz for giving me a headache. Take me back bros.
If Geoff was President over Jim Lee, would things have been better?
Yes
Reminder that Ethan Van Sciver brought Hal Jordan and Barry Allen back into the mainstream.
