Griffith did nothing wrong has to be a fricking joke i dont get it.

How it´s possible that people unirocally defend griffith?
how do you admire this fricking monster?
human beings feel offended by griffith actions because no sane human do what he did why don´t you understand this?
all his friends and most important guts and casca lives were destroyed for nothing.
can you imagine being casca during eclipse?

When Griffith becomes a demon, all his actions are understandable, in the way a hurricane's "actions" are. A demon will act like a demon. The question is, if doing the sacrifice is understandable/justified.

He had no agency as Griffith. His entire life was predicated on him sacrificing his friends. The struggle against fate is a theme, and Griffith essentially gets told by both agents of god as well as god that he is special and deserves to get what he wants. Then he gets it. So he technically “does nothing wrong” because he never had the agency to change his fate in a different direction. He existed as an idol people could rally for in order to serve a greater purpose. The band of hawks sacrifice was meaningful because of this. In fact their sacrifice had more meaning than other peoples because of this, their sacrifice was ordained by the closest thing in setting to gods.

      >Femto isn't Griffith

This really ruins a lot of the encounters between Guts and Griffith afterwards. Griffith isn't really the same man anymore. He remembers Guts to some degree, like most other things of his previous life, but it isn't the same

The main thing he did wrong was frick the princess.
He was seething over Guts leaving, because it was the first time anyone had the power to deny him. So he fricked her to feel powerful again.
Sacrificing the band was obviously wrong, too. But it was at least understandable. The guy had been horrifically tortured for a year straight and he logic of "Countless people have already died for my dream, I can't let it all be for nothing" is understandable. Obviously there was a lot more ego and selfish desire mixed in there, too. But at the same time he's very much a puppet of a fate more powerful than he is.

Of course you, a homosexual, would say something like this

I think this is a reasonable take.
The main problem was GETTING CAUGHT banging the princess. He undertook many more risky things before that, yet somehow failed to bag one teenage girl.

The only non logical out and out of spite evil thing he did was raping Casca and after what he endured for a year and being granted a big demon dick after getting yours cut off, I’d say the homie was fiending for some pussy.

yea I don't get why zodd follows this homosexual. zodd is chad and wouldn't take orders from a guy who offered his bunghole to another guy.

zodd should have been the main villain, the casca rape would have had more of an impact than watching the twink trying to figure out what to do with a woman

every member of the Hawk accepted that they might die in order to further his ambitions; no need to act like a b***h about it when the time came to do so

      Anonymous

Yeah they accepted that they might die on the field of battle not being literally sacrificed by being fed to demons.

Difference between potentially dying in battle and being sacrificed to suffer an eternity in hell with no possible way to avoid it. No one would have signed up for that if they thought it was even a possibility.

What, they honestly thought slaughtering people for years for money would end in any other place than hell? They butchered and killed just like the demons, and expected a clean getaway?

The 90s anime is a banger and a decent introduction. The first arcs of the manga are classics but mileage varies after that.
