The closest that Gumball came around to being hilarious was seasons 2 and 3 whereas everything else was too kiddy (season 1) or too repetitive/political/webcomic-y (season 4+).

I don't remember Adventure time being much of a comedy. Regular show is pretty much lulsorandom humor but then turned into a drama as the same. All of those shows went to shit really fast after 2/3 season, I stopped watching after that. Gumball is funnier because it's an actual comedy.

I think it’s fair to say gumball did humor better then regular show and adventure time. The jokes were fast and in your face in gumball and jokes happen one after another. With regular show it’s often small funny things through dialogue or the absurdity of the situation is funny (I don’t like adventure time enough to write about it.) that being said regular show is a better show because it did other things besides comedy better. They had better writing, character development, better action and music sequences. I honeslty view gumball as the SpongeBob of Cartoon Network because the shows main thing it only ever tried was being funny (and creative, the shows art style and constantly changing was very impressive,)

The writing of RS is the most formulaic out of the three shows, least Gumball tries different types of things other than comedy like the backstory of the wattersons and the lore of this show the Void, and their all kino too, meanwhile when Regular show does something different it ends up shit, the drama arc and space arc were both dogshit, and even rigby's arc the best thing that RS has to offer in terms of development, is mediorce at best due to elieen being a shit character and all that development of rigby was retconned in s8

Early AT, Regular Show, and Gumball are all completely different from their later seasons in terms of story and writing. AT went from fun Adventure with boy and his magic dog to ooh so deep and existential, Regular Show went from two dudes chilling to cringe drama, and Gumball went from contained humor to internet memes.
