The truth is that America is so fricking big that even the poverty of each state has a distinct look and feel and even smell to it
i am curious, i dipped and dabbed throughout the US about a decade ago and the unique flavors were indeed there, but i'll bet it's morphed into even more of a sick monoculture these days
i grew up around the tristate of PA, WV, and OH, (the movie was shot in nashville despite being set in xenia ohio) and it was pretty true to life
the movie really was heavily scripted which surprises a lot of people. the screenplay was way different from what they shot but the bathtub scene in particular was almost 1:1 to what was written

midwest and north east, yea and probably still does. >Also, anymore poverty kino I should watch?

The Florida Project
Precious
I just watched the trailer for it, as a Florida native who lives where this was filmed, this hit WAY too close to home.
I would really like to see people to make poverty kino about the Indian reservations here, I've seen only a little of it. It's a different world out there.
its what american laziness looks like
if you are poor you can still have a clean house but your house is dirty for the same reason you are poor: you are a lazy piece of shit
I was reading a pamphlet which was about the housing conditions in the slum my grandparents grew up in in the 1930s. Even though people were piss poor and in substandard housing it mentioned how they were still house proud and tried making the best of their shit situation by keeping their homes clean and liveable
>Is this what american poverty looked like?
no
this movie was actually heavily scripted, and this scene originally called for a BOWL of buttered spaghetti which is actually poor white trash munch and shows that the israelite harmony korine really did know what was up
i guess that wasn't as appealing aesthetically though so they went with a plate of red sauce
oh geez he turned into the dumbest character he ever wrote
is he trying to be a GTA character?
and that's irrelevant, he might as well have made gummo in another lifetime. no shit, it was a completely different world back then. that's not shocking or revelatory or even meaningful. it is what it is
why is the bacon taped to the wall?
Fatties and morons is what real American poverty looks like.
There isn’t enough room on the plate for it.
>Is this what american poverty looked like
nah

The truth is that America is so fricking big that even the poverty of each state has a distinct look and feel and even smell to it
the opposite is actually true. it's burgerpunk all across.

Ah yes, Gummo. I still remember jerking it back in the day to the scene with the chicks putting black tape on their bare breasts. Good times.
Isn't that Sminem
kino aesthetic
Korine doesn't get enough credit on here
How common is it to pimp out your moronic sister?

I will now proceed to watch these movies
>The Florida Project

do not watch precious unless you want ptsd
why?
PTSD from what? Seeing her fat ass get diabetes in real time?
the entire movie is just a kind of disturbing that seeps into your bones
Hmmm, really? Does it have any fappable scenes where she gets raped or gets nude for "shock" value?
it's not shock value disturbing, it's real shit disturbing, like the same feeling you get from Kids
Hahaha, yes, "real" disturbing, I too relate to the average normie human and what they consider shocking.
It's mostly accurate except there should be more alcohol and some casual molestation.
>casual molestation
This, you never experienced poverty unless at least three drunk "uncles" tried to put their weenor in your bum.
whites are fricking nasty disgusting sbhumans

What is up with the Ohio meme all of a sudden?
>anymore poverty kino I should watch?

SKETTY BUTTER
i do like how they kept the cup of milk though.
if you wanna eat like a poor moronic rust belt white, have buttered spaghetti with a glass of milk
;_;
Reminder: if GTA 6 existed in the late 90s, korine would've never made this hipster redneck movie you guys love so much
oh geez he turned into the dumbest character he ever wrote
is he trying to be a GTA character?

Swear to God, this is the only image threads about this movie ever start with.
