How much did Bandai/Namco just flush into the toilet?
Gundam Evolution, Gundam site inside the Metaverse... A lot of money wasted....
All this wasted money could have been spend into producing Char, Amuro, Lalah, Sayla, Kamille, Quattro, etc, SHF Figuarts.
Which the actual fans would actually love to buy.
Who is the dumbass in charge of it?

nothing of value was lost
It was a learning experience.
Don't know how you made it this far without knowing that scamco is moronic.
First day with the company?
How hard is it for them to make a proper game like battlefield Gundam or a non shit battle operation 2.
I’m sorry gbotards you all admit to cope on it too
Very hard, mainly cause they refuse to listen to consumers and also refuse to spend a lot of money to fund a proper game.
>or a non shit battle operation 2
Really easy, they just need to stop using P2P netcode and create actual servers. But that's too expensive and whales are still consooming the gacha regardless.
>lets make a hero shooter
>around about ten years after that ship sailed
>let's make a hero shooter
>also region lock half the globe (and then allow them in months after anyway)
>also make the currency system extremely hard to obtain
>while also making skins like Char's Zaku II insanely expensive without whaling for thousands of dollars
>while also having a small roster and only 3 new units in almost a whole year of service
>while also having no new maps or game modes
>while also having a shit customization system based on shitty recolors instead of letting players customize their suits
I mean it's truly amazing how much this game was mishandled. Instead of pandering to the mecha crowd they tried to pander to the normalgay hero shooter playing morons that obviously didn't stick with the game and then proceeded to fumble it anyway despite the bleeding playerbase.
>battle operation 2 network test
>shit netcode
>people keep dropping out of games to the point of being restricted from matchmaking
>it drops
>still happening
im convinced they do this solely to go 'well it looks like the west just doesnt want our stuff!' when they just give us the shittest stuff in the world with 0 effort and are surprised no one likes it
PC gbo2 is not doing so hot. Lots of hackers, they disabled the clan system the only way you were consistently able to get gacha currency, and frankly if they axed evolution I wouldnt write off GBO2 as being next.
I can understand simple incompetence, but not reworking the incredibly harsh ban system while your servers are fricked meaning everyone is getting banned from your game because you can't stay up long enough for matches to complete, that's beyond my comprehension. How is that not a basic week one fix with some tokens?
They should fix the game and make it good first.
What's the point of a good game no one can play?
Imagine if they had invested on a Gundam UC simulator FPS that is also a MMO.
>How much did Bandai/Namco just flush into the toilet?
Nothing. This is how they always do things. You just aren't used to it as much if you're not a DBZgay. Bamco's specialty is spending the bare minimum to shove a half-finished game based on an IP that sells on brand name alone out so they can make easy profits and then never build off of it or invest more in it.
Fans want either a pure combined arms battlefield 0079 clone, A tactics rpg, Gundam Gear Revengeance, hard core wienerpit sim, or War Thunder like internal damage model autism MP game. Nobody wanted a gundam overwatch clone. Looking too closely at what kinds of games are successful is a waste of effort with Gundam. They should be looking at what kind of good games the I.p. is best suited for
I want a modern SDGO but not SD
MSGO?
pretty much but a bigger budget for prettier graphics and "more detail" to make it a game really worth playing.
The gameplay should also be refined into something that isn't a shitty stunfest.
We need a new badass single player Gudnam game like Zeonic Front or UC Climax.
Japanese netcode made it impossible to implement backfill on their existing system. The game was doomed from day one for being Japanese.
This game only succeeded in inviting Cinemaphile over to /m/ and literally nothing else.
Armored Core 6 will do nothing. All Bandai truly cares about is if the gunpla sells or not thats it everything else is secondary.
Its like Games Workshop with Warhammer 40k just shit out shitty mobile games and shovel ware who cares
Scamco is already going to publish AC anyway there's no incentive to make an AC like Gundam game because AC money will be their money
are you angry yet?
I don't want a Gundam game to play like AC so, no. I'll just patiently wait for a port of EXVS.
unpopular opinion now since all the fromsoft cultists will froth at the mouth but Armored Core is such an okay and boring mech game at best that even saying this is bad to those homosexuals
What more do you want in a mech game that AC doesn't have? Genuine question
nta but id like a more methodical pseudo realism multi-player mech game. Somewhere between Chromehounds and War thunder. I love AC for what it's been over the years. But Mecha as a genre has basically endless game potential. More than enough space for other franchises.
I dont like the boosting in Armored Core
>made a Gundam vidya without CHAR
Are you fricking kidding me?
The actual video game was absolutely fine, and it obviously caught interest at the right time based on the playercount in such a saturated market. They just mismanaged the hell out of what otherwise should've been a layup.
I just don't get why they keep making mecha games that don't feel like mecha at all. At least give us a wienerpit effect for the HUD or something! Sense of scale's really bad, too, so it feels like we're just a bunch of dudes wearing armour.
In case of gunevo some map like colony and harbor has pretty good scales due to the available of building and small vehicles. Other maps is like what you said, dudes in cosplay costumes fighting in warehouse.
