I think you're really missing the point here. It's less specifically the characters who would spend time mourning at length but rather for a character who's been in two series prior to just go out unceremoniously like that is a bit of a slap to the audience. We don't need to make such a huge spectacle of it but still.

When Rasara dies (a character who has appears in like 3 episodes) to a rock falling 5 feet away Mondo cries holding her dead body and the entire Argama crew goes out to avenge her, the episode ends with her coffin being shipped back home so she can be buried.
When Puru dies she is instantly forgotten and no one gives a shit despite being part of the main cast for half the show at that point.

Haman in ZZ is mostly fine the problem is she's meant to play off of Judau who just goes no way gay every time she propositions him with sex, theirs no real chemistry.
Its the alleged main antagonist and protagonist of the show, that are constantly implied to be like fricking be newtype entwined foils to eachother but the only one who actually puts out in their relationship is Haman, Judau couldn't care less, he cant even do the bare minimum and kill her, she has to do that herself too.
Mashymyre was the best character and needed more screentime. His sacrifice was probably one of the best parts of the show. All the cyber newtypes were unhinged lunatics in ZZ it was great.

Before watching the anime I've came across numerous mentions of her being into him, but this is factually absent in anime.
The only thing we see are some thoughts of hers caused by newtype connection and the fact Judau is the usual overpowered protagonist causing trouble for Zeon. It was natural to try manipulate him instead cuz he's got plot armour in combat.
Haman was genre savvy yes and tried to thwart the very tropes that would lead to her downfall. Ultimately she could not defeat the writer of her own story and perished as intended to make way for Char's Counterattack right on schedule.
Judau had ALL the newtype ghosts helping him, the combined power of which could literally pull ZZ back together and their duel still only amounted to a draw.
