EXACTLY. Detailing only works if you have the skills. Thin lines and details reveal imperfections and mistakes so you need to know exactly what you're doing. Thick lines were so much more suited for Tom's art.

I remember at the time thinking it had been 4 years since I'd last seen that shitty comic and a lot had happened, but now it's nearly double that length and they're doing some actual gay shit with a new character introduced late in the story.
Tom makes 100k dollaridoos which is more than double what he was making in his day job before he quit, he has no reason to ever stop cranking out gunnershit fail so he'll keep going until his gunnerheart fails on him.
