If the robots didn't matter either, Annie really wouldn't have a reason to kill him at all. You don't kill someone for disguising themselves.

Well, I think we came to the conclusion last thread that these are ordinary predictions. Coyote isn't actually tapping into his universal knowledge.
But I also have my own theory regarding this. Annie can't be special. It has never been foreshadowed or in any way hinted at that she is. Kat however definitely is special. At the very least, she is the first new creator god in like 2000 years, but there's also reason to assume that Kat caused the timeloop that the universe is stuck in. For all we know she created the norns or whatever, too.
My theory is that she started all of that timey wimey nonsense BECAUSE of Annie and that that's why causality kinda goes weird around her.
