Not gonna lie, I miss Lana. I'm kinda distracted from all this character development and important internal plot revelations because I'm still desperate to know if she's okay.
This. As important as all this stuff is for the plot, Tom really shouldn't have kept us all on edge as to what happened to the best character of the comic during it.
It's like he can't stop building up intrigue. It seems to be what he's best at and what he likes to do, but this is the third act of the story. We should be getting resolutions and revelations, instead we keep getting new characters and new plots and questions. Like, for example, when Zimmy told Annie Kat would kill her when connecting to Omega, they should have stopped everything they were doing and investigated why Zimmy would say that and that should have probably turned into this whole Coyote mess to throw a wrench in it, but the objective should have been to course correct as hard as they could. Instead, it was treated like this is still the first act of the story and it was set up and forgotten immediately. Kat just went 'lol, no' and that was that, as if it was gonna be brought back up out of nowhere in 50 chapters as a moment of clever foreshadowing or whatever, but there aren't 50 chapters left. This is the climax of the story. Tom needs to stop setting up his shots and finally take them.

A plot: Antimony Carver is a girl going to a mysterious boarding school which borders a magical forest. the school likes to collect up people with interesting skills and unusual powers because they're researching magic in order to make a world with no magic. Naturally, their hatred of magic puts them in conflict with the forest, which is awkward for Antimony since she likes the forest and is 2% fire spirit on her mother's side.
B plot: Katerina Donlan is Antimony's best friend, who has decided to study the robots that perform the school's grunt work after meeting a robot (uncreatively named Robot) that had gotten mixed up in Antimony's previous adventures. Robot encourages the other robots to see Kat as a literal goddess, and it ends up giving her actual powers because we're using American Gods rules.
currently the conflict between the school and the forest has boiled over, and reality has been thrown into chaos after two forest gods got Katamari'd into one of the school's reality warping students. Robot has had his true nature revealed, and now he's confessing everything. Turns out he's got a lot of Catholic guilt going on!
