It feels like we're approaching the endgame right now, or at least on the immediate road to it. Not sure where you last left off but the quality's been a bit of a rollercoaster over the last several years compared to how consistent it used to be, IMO it's still worth reading though in spite of the faults. And yes it's approaching 20 years old, the first comic was published on April 4th 2005. Which IMO is why it's gradually lost the edgy gothic look it originally had, that was a big thing in the 00s and we're just really removed from that zeitgeist now.

You're not imagining things, I reread the comic from the start a couple months ago and for the first time I realized how much the early years feel so distinctly "mid aughts web 1.0 goth" now that there's been a sufficient amount of time passed. I really miss the look of these earlier chapters, there was a real sense of mystery and even menace to the court.
I had seen this one. Pretty cool.
Now for the question of the day. Why can't we get that in the comic today?!

But seriously, it kind of keep going. Compared to the beginning there is less mystery now, more almost-showdowns, but not that much. Gayness (female) and Black folk have been added at some moment, but both were silently Tom-style booted into oblivion. Still worth it.
